Technometrics Study Using DEA on Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs)

2016
The Toyota Prius was first introduced in 1997 and since then over 150 hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) have been brought to the automobile market around the world. This was spurred by a major interest in the future of vehicles using ‘alternative fuel’ for addressing environmental and fuel dependency concerns.

Capacity study of lithium ion battery for hybrid electrical vehicle (HEV) a simulation approach

2013 IEEE International Conference on Signal and Image Processing Applications, 2013
This paper presents a preliminary simulation study of Lithium-ion batteries. The dynamic model of Li-ion batteries was created and the model was validated with previous results for different temperatures. It found that the developed model produce the results acquired with previous results.

Reinforcement learning in hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) / electric vehicles (EVs)

2016
The conventional internal combustion engine (ICE)-powered vehicles have contributed significantly to the development of modern society. However, they have also brought about large amounts of fuel consumption and pollution emissions due to the increasing number of vehicles in use around the world.

Assessment of Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEVs) Through Big Data Analysis

2021
Big data refers to large databases that are obtained from a number of data foundations for commercial requirements to disclose a new vision of automated decision-making. The integrated plug-in electric vehicle using the advanced technology of a converter, a battery, and an electric drive system is an example of the transformation of automobile systems ...

Lubricant Concepts for Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) Transmission

2019
It is anticipated that many future hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) transmissions will incorporate the e-motor within the transmission housing while being constrained to ever smaller packaging dimensions. The heat from the e-motor confined to the smaller designs will inevitably lead to higher transmission operating temperatures, necessitating the use of ...

Analysis of rule-based parameterized control strategy for a HEV Hybrid Electric Vehicle

2019 19th International Conference on Sciences and Techniques of Automatic Control and Computer Engineering (STA), 2019
Energy storage is a key issue for hybrid traction vehicles (HEVs). Indeed, it takes more power and energy density, a correct size, a long life of the battery. The HEV seems to be an appropriate device to address these constraints if we find the best strategy for controlling and split power, between the thermal and electrical sources.

The road to success: the WSU entry in the 1955 HEV challenge [hybrid electric vehicle]

Power Electronics in Transportation, 2002
This paper discusses the control strategy of the 1995 Waynescort and the design and construction details of its motor controller. The 1995 Waynescort is a parallel, four wheel-drive, hybrid-electric vehicle whose two separately excited DC motors are torque controlled to allow the engine and the motors to be operated simultaneously with a minimum of ...
