Hybrid fiber reinforced concrete : fiber synergy in very high strength concrete

2009
Over the years we have been able to overcome the inherent weaknesses of concrete thereby making it more suitable for a wide variety of applications. One major development has been reinforcement by short randomly distributed fibers that remedy weaknesses of concrete such as low crack growth resistance, high shrinkage cracking, low durability, etc.

Candidate of low carbon economy concrete: Reinforcing recycled concrete via hybrid fibers

Environmental Research
Doping fibers are a highly effective method to rescue the weak mechanical properties of recycled concrete (RC). In this study, a complex three-dimensional network structure was constructed by using the unique arrangement and interweaving of three mixed fibers steel fiber (SF), glass fiber (GF), and coir fiber (CF).

Workability of hybrid fiber reinforced self-compacting concrete

Building and Environment, 2005
Compared to fiber reinforced concrete (FRC), self-compacting concrete (SCC) is a relatively new type of concrete with high flowability and good cohesiveness. It offers very attractive economical and technical benefits, which can be further extended when combined with FRC.

Performances Research of Hybrid Fiber Reinforced Asphalt Concrete

Materials Science Forum, 2009
A kind of hybrid fiber was added into asphalt mixtures with the purpose of gaining pavement material with higher performance-to-price ratio. The hybrid fiber was constitutive of cellulose fiber and polyester fiber in several different proportions. Superpave mix design procedure was used to prepare hybrid fiber reinforced asphalt mixtures.

Creep behavior of fiber reinforced self consolidating concrete reinforced with hybrid fibers

2019
Creep and shrinkage properties of fiber reinforced self-consolidating concrete (FR-SCC) are still unknown and limited in research. Thus, comprehensive evaluation is required to determine these behaviors of FR-SCC and mechanical properties must be verified to determine effectiveness of this type of concrete in structural application.

Study on Hybrid Fiber Reinforced Lightweight Aggregate Concrete

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2013
For lightweight aggregate concrete, fiber materials can reinforce its toughness and strength better and improve its segregation degree greatly. Specifically, as the experiment indicates, the fluidity of concrete mix decreases slightly after 0.5% basalt fiber and 0.5% PVA fiber are incorporated into the concrete with FA ceramsite as lightweight ...
