Fiber yields inSansevieria interspecific hybrids

Economic Botany, 1969
Fiber yields are reported for the interspecific hybrid ‘ Florida H-13’ (Sansevieria trifasciata Prain × S. deserti 2V. E. Brown), subjected to various harvesting cycles at three locations in southern Florida. Yields of ‘Florida H-13’ are compared with those of other F1F2triploid, and backcross hybrids and the parental species, S. trifasciata.

Hybrid Fiber Coaxial Network Design

Operations Research, 2002
Much interest exists in broadband network services to deliver a variety of products to consumers, such as Internet access, telephony, interactive TV, and video on demand. Due to its cost efficiency, Hybrid Fiber Coaxial (HFC) technology is currently being considered by most Telcos and cable companies as the technology to deliver these products.

Aluminum/carbon fiber hybrid composites

Polymer Engineering & Science, 1979
Abstract An effective, economic way of using carbon fiber is to combine it with a resin and another material, either a fiber or a metal, to produce a hybrid structure. Some of the properties of a hybrid beam made by attaching carbon composite to either side of an aluminum channel section are described here.

Selectively filled hybrid ARROW fibers

SPIE Proceedings, 2007
We experimentally demonstrate novel hybrid photonic crystal fibres incorporating a single ring of high-index inclusions surrounded by several rings of holes. These fibres are designed to exhibit large bandwidths of guidance combined with periodic group velocity dispersion zeros.

HYBRID FIBER REINFORCED CONCRETE

2007
This paper describes the mechanical performance of hybrid fiber concrete with a maximum fiber dosage of 0.75 Vol.%. Two types of fibers were used: short straight steel fibers and long hooked-end steel fibers. The concrete compressive strength (fc,cub150) varied between 55 and 65 MPa, dependent on the fiber mixture.

All-Fiber Hybrid Fiber Bragg Gratings Cavity for Sensing Applications

2009
By now, fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs) represent a well assessed technology in sensing field. Unfortunately, to make FBGs sensitive to surrounding refractive index, hosting fiber structuring is needed. In last years, also tilted FBGs (TFBGs) have been proposed as promising technological platform for sensing applications. However, complex spectral features

Hybrid fiber-coax access networks

Bell Labs Technical Journal, 1996
As the communications industry moves rapidly toward open communication, it is introducing new, higher bandwidth services. Providers of communications services must develop new services while continuing to protect their existing revenue. The HFC-2000™ broadband access system, a cost-effective, full service network solution, was designed to address these

Fiber reinforced hybrid phenolic foam

2015
Hybrid composites in recent times have been developed by using more than one type of fiber reinforcement to bestow synergistic properties of chosen filler and matrix and also facilitating the design of materials with specific properties matched to end use. However, the studies for hybrid foams have been very limited because of problems related to fiber
