An influence of pozzolanic materials with hybrid fibers on structural performance of concrete: A review

, 2021
Concrete is the major building material which has been used in Construction. Concrete is poor in tension and good in compression so to overcome this, fibers are adding in concrete to increase the strength and also the structural integrity.

Hybrid Brillouin/erbium fiber laser

Optics Letters, 1996
We propose and demonstrate a novel hybrid Brillouin/erbium fiber laser that uses both Brillouin gain in singlemode optical fiber and gain in erbium-doped fiber. The lasing frequency was accurately determined by the Brillouin shift in single-mode optical fiber and was 10.35 GHz from the Brillouin pump.

Nanophotonics inside hybrid optical fibers

2012 14th International Conference on Transparent Optical Networks (ICTON), 2012
In my presentation I will review our recent results related to nanophotonic hybrid waveguides in fiber form. I will discuss plasmonic hybridization of spiralling plasmons excited on metallic nanowires in photonic crystal fibers. I will also discuss the optical properties and fabrication of highly nonlinear chalcogenide-silica waveguides and their ...

Hybrid Effect on Hybrid Composite Reinforced Carbon Fibers and Flax Fibers

Key Engineering Materials, 2019
In this paper, hybrid composite made of carbon woven fibers and flax woven fibers is studied. This hybrid composite structure takes advantages of high resistance, high stiffness of carbon fibers and high damping and low density of flax fibers. Different structures of flax woven composites, carbon woven composites and hybrid composites were fabricated ...

Hybrid fiber optic sensors

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1990
For more than 10 years, fiber optic sensors have been projected as a dominant sensor technology for the future. This projection has yet to be realized. There continues to be a substantial level of research and development in various fiber sensors concepts, yet only a few products are available commercially. The major factors limiting the success of the

All‐Natural, Degradable, Rolled‐Up Straws Based on Cellulose Micro‐ and Nano‐Hybrid Fibers

Advanced Functional Materials, 2020
Among all the plastic pollution, straws have brought particularly intricate problems since they are single use, consumed in a large volume, cannot be recycled in most places, and can never be fully degraded.
