Hybrid flow-shop scheduling problem based on saving energy

2008 27th Chinese Control Conference, 2008
In this paper, the mixed-integer nonlinear programming model is established for hybrid flow-shop scheduling problem (HFSP), with the minimum of energy consumption as the objective function. Aiming at the characteristic of this problem and the shortcomings of simple genetic algorithm, a hybrid genetic algorithm (Memetic) is presented.

Solving hybrid flow shop scheduling problems using bat algorithm

International Journal of Logistics Economics and Globalisation, 2013
This paper investigates the multistage hybrid flow shop (HFS) scheduling problems using the new bat algorithm. A HFS is the generalisation of flowshop with multiple machines. HFS is one of the important scheduling problems that represent many industries like iron and steel, chemical, textile and ceramic industries. The HFS scheduling problems have been

A Hybrid Evolutionary Algorithm Using Two Solution Representations for Hybrid Flow-Shop Scheduling Problem

IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics, 2021
As an extension of the classical flow-shop scheduling problem, the hybrid flow-shop scheduling problem (HFSP) widely exists in large-scale industrial production systems and has been considered to be challenging for its complexity and flexibility ...

Genetic algorithm application to the hybrid flow shop scheduling problem

2008 IEEE International Conference on Mechatronics and Automation, 2008
The hybrid flow shop scheduling problem becomes more and more important, and has gained wide attention both in academic and engineering fields. this paper addresses an attempt to evolve genetic algorithm by a particular genetic programming method to solve this problem.

Lot Sizing and Scheduling Problem in Distributed Heterogeneous Hybrid Flow Shop and Learning-Driven Iterated Local Search Algorithm

IEEE Transactions on Automation Science and Engineering
Lot planning and production scheduling are two strong coupled sub-problems in the manufacturing process. The lot-streaming technique divides the products into several lots. The production scheduling determines the processing order of products. This paper

Solving the hybrid flow shop scheduling problem with limited human resource constraint

Computers & industrial engineering, 2020
In this paper, an m-stage hybrid flow shop scheduling problem with limited workforce in charge of performing setup operations is addressed. Indeed, such workforce represents a critical resource since the number of workers assigned to each production ...
