COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells
Molecular Oncology, EarlyView.This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

Molecular Oncology, EarlyView.Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Molecular Oncology, EarlyView.This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

An hybrid method that improves the accessibility of Steffensen’s method
Numerical Algorithms, 2013 Steffensen's method is known for its fast speed of convergence and its difficulty in applying it in Banach spaces. From the analysis of the accessibility of this method, we see that we can improve it by using the simplified secant method for predicting the initial approximation of Steffensen's method.
