Nonequilibrium dynamics in scalar hybrid models
We study by numerical simulations the transition from the metastable "false vacuum" to the broken symmetry phase in the preheating stage after cosmic inflation in a scalar hybrid model. We take quantum fluctuations and their back reaction into account by

Hybrid Automation Extended Model
Summary: An extended model of hybrid automata for dynamic systems is considered, where, along with a discrete control subsystem and control objects with lumped parameters, there are control objects with distributed parameters (linear and stationary from the point of view of automatic control theory).

Learning and Optimization with Bayesian Hybrid Models [PDF]
Bayesian hybrid models fuse physics-based insights with machine learning constructs to correct for systematic bias. In this paper, we compare Bayesian hybrid models against physics-based glass-box and Gaussian process black-box surrogate models.

Modeling hepatic fibrosis in TP53 knockout iPSC‐derived human liver organoids
This study developed iPSC‐derived human liver organoids with TP53 gene knockout to model human liver fibrosis. These organoids showed elevated myofibroblast activation, early disease markers, and advanced fibrotic hallmarks. The use of profibrotic differentiation medium further amplified the fibrotic signature seen in the organoids.

Hybrid Behaviour of Markov Population Models [PDF]
We investigate the behaviour of population models written in Stochastic Concurrent Constraint Programming (sCCP), a stochastic extension of Concurrent Constraint Programming.

Application of a single-objective, hybrid genetic algorithm approach to pharmacokinetic model building. [PDF]
A limitation in traditional stepwise population pharmacokinetic model building is the difficulty in handling interactions between model components. To address this issue, a method was previously introduced which couples NONMEM parameter estimation and ...

Development of therapies targeting cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) necessitates preclinical model systems that faithfully represent CAF–tumor biology. We established an in vitro coculture system of patient‐derived pancreatic CAFs and tumor cell lines and demonstrated its recapitulation of primary CAF–tumor biology with single‐cell transcriptomics ...

Constraints on Supersymmetric Models of Hybrid Inflation
We point out that the inclusion of a string component contributing around 5% to the CMB power spectrum amplitude on large scales can increase the preferred value of the spectral index n_s of density fluctuations measured by CMB experiments.

Enhancing heart disease prediction accuracy by comparing classification models employing varied feature selection techniques [PDF]
ML (Machine Learning) is frequently used in health systems to alert physicians in real time. This helps to take preventive measures, such as predicting a future heart attack.
