Effects of IGFBP4 deficiency on human preadipocyte proliferation and differentiation through the IGF1R/AKT pathway

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
IGFBP4 knockdown (KD) impairs preadipocyte proliferation and is associated with IGF1R protein downregulation and attenuated AKT phosphorylation. The mechanisms by which IGFBP4 KD influences the IGF1R/AKT signaling pathway involve newly synthesized proteins and lysosomal degradation pathways. Created in BioRender.

Hybrid (bolted/bonded) joints applied to aeronautic parts : analytical one-dimensional models of a single-lap joint [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
The load transfer in hybrid (bolted/bonded) single-lap joint is complex due to the association of two different transfer modes (discrete and continuous) through elements with different stiffness.

Importin 7 mediates the nuclear import of HIV‐1 integrase via a specific interacting interface

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
HIV‐1 integrase enables viral DNA integration into the host genome. By binding to the core domain of the host protein Importin 7 via its C‐terminal domain, the integrase is transported across the nuclear membrane into the nucleus, where integration of the viral genome into host DNA takes place. This translocation is a critical step for subsequent viral

KIC 10080943: a binary star with two γ Doradus/δ Scuti hybrid pulsators. Analysis of the g modes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We use 4 yr of Kepler photometry to study the non-eclipsing spectroscopic binary KIC 10080943. We find both components to be γ Doradus/δ Scuti hybrids, which pulsate in both p and g modes.

Evaluating adaptive and generative AI-based feedback and recommendations in a knowledge-graph-integrated programming learning system

open access: yesComputers and Education: Artificial Intelligence
This paper introduces the design and development of a framework that integrates a large language model (LLM) with a retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) approach leveraging both a knowledge graph and user interaction history.

A hybrid mode to enhance the downward route performance in routing protocol for low power and lossy networks

open access: yesInternational Journal of Distributed Sensor Networks, 2018
An IPv6 routing protocol for low power and lossy networks provides an IPv6 communication for a wide range of applications in multi-hop mesh networks. The routing protocol for low power and lossy networks defines the creation and management of downward ...

Locomotion Modes of an Hybrid Wheel-Legged Robot

open access: yes, 2005
The main objective of this paper is to compare and evaluate the performance of several locomotion modes of an hybrid wheel-legged robot. Each studied locomotion mode is described, compared and evaluated according to the same criteria, which are the gradeability — i.e. the climbing ability — and the power consumption.

Purification and preparation of Marchantia polymorpha Auxin Response Factor 2 for phase separation studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We describe detailed protocols for the purification and preparation of Marchantia polymorpha Auxin Response Factor 2 (MpARF2). This protein is fused to an MBP solubility tag and an mNG fluorescent tag and is purified from Escherichia coli. The presented procedures make it possible to study MpARF2 assemblies, which could arise from phase separation ...

A Hybrid FMEA-ROC-CoCoSo Approach for Improved Risk Assessment and Reduced Complexity in Failure Mode Prioritization

open access: yesAlgorithms
This paper proposes a novel hybrid model that integrates failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), Rank Order Centroid (ROC), and Combined Compromise Solution (CoCoSo) to improve risk assessment and prioritization of failure modes.
