Passive mode locking with a hybrid laser
Summaries of Papers Presented at the Lasers and Electro-Optics. CLEO '02. Technical Diges, 2003It has been shown that a hybrid laser, which contains both an inhomogeneously broadened and a homogeneously broadened laser media, can improve the active mode locking performance.1,2 It generates coherent and shorter pulses as compared to that by either the inhomogeneously broadened medium or the homogenously broadened medium alone.

In this chapter, new kind of resonant mode, i.e., hybrid mode in RDRA (rectangular dielectric resonator antenna), is described using mathematical modeling. RDRA is excited by inserting RF feed probe or microstripline having finite dimensions, carrying electric and magnetic currents at a given frequency.

A hybrid mode of operation for RPL newtorks
2018 26th Signal Processing and Communications Applications Conference (SIU), 2018RPL became the widely accepted routing protocol for Internet of Things. RPL suggests different modes of operation (MOP) to satisfy different use cases effectively. However, interconnectivity between different modes has not been possible so far. In this research, a new method to provide interconnection between different modes of operation is proposed ...

Mode tracking and FDI of hybrid systems
2008 10th International Conference on Control, Automation, Robotics and Vision, 2008In this work we present a new health monitoring method for hybrid systems. The method utilizes the concept of unified constraint relations, named the global analytical redundancy relations (GARRs). Using GARRs for health monitoring of hybrid system requires the system's current mode and this information is provided by a mode tracker.

Simulation of hybrid systems with sliding modes
2017 22nd International Conference on Methods and Models in Automation and Robotics (MMAR), 2017The paper concerns the problem of the numerical simulation of hybrid systems with sliding modes. We give an overview of the numerical simulation procedures which have been described in the literature and next we present our proposition of the simulation code.

Robust mode recognition in Hybrid Dynamical Systems with nonlinear modes
2011 Chinese Control and Decision Conference (CCDC), 2011Switching detection and active mode recognition in Hybrid Dynamical Systems (HDS) with nonlinear continuous dynamics are considered in this paper. The nonlinear modes are represented by Takagi-Sugeno models. Two methods based on projection techniques are proposed to generate a bank of residuals which are mode indicators: the first one is the well-known

Mode Estimation of Probabilistic Hybrid Systems
2002Model-based diagnosis and mode estimation capabilities excel at diagnosing systems whose symptoms are clearly distinguished from normal behavior. A strength of mode estimation, in particular, is its ability to track a system's discrete dynamics as it moves between different behavioral modes.

Hybrid Heteroepitaxial Growth Mode
physica status solidi (a), 2018A “hybrid” surface growth mode is studied by in situ scanning tunneling microscopy and ex situ synchrotron X‐ray diffraction. Heteroepitaxial growth of MnSb(0001) on GaAs(111) leads to the direct formation of islands, but the islands themselves grow in a local layer‐by‐layer fashion, having low aspect ratio and flat tops.

Hybrid Čerenkov mode in a resonant medium
Physical Review E, 2000Energy stored in a resonant medium may be used to amplify the Cerenkov radiation generated by a small driving bunch. The hybrid eigenmode of the system is a combination of Cerenkov radiation and eigenmode of the resonant medium. In the vicinity of the resonant frequency of the medium and when Cerenkov condition is satisfied, the eigenfrequency has an ...

EKONOMIKA I UPRAVLENIE: PROBLEMY, RESHENIYA
The features of management modes containing contradictory goals and means of their implementation are considered. Opacity, unpredictability and lack of a unified logic of decision-making in such orders are noted. Models (structural, functional, fields) for the study of hybrid modes are proposed.
