Network security for Hybrid Cloud

2014 Euro Med Telco Conference (EMTC), 2014
Cloud computing has enabled elastic and transparent access to distributed services, without investing in new infrastructures. In the last few years, Cloud computing has grown from being a promising business concept to one of the fast growing segments of the IT industry.

Hybrid Automotive In-Vehicle Networks

Proceedings of the Eleventh IEEE/ACM International Symposium on Networks-on-Chip, 2017
The design of automotive in-vehicle networks is influenced by several factors like bandwidth, real-time properties, reliability and cost. This has led to a number of protocols and communication standards like CAN, MOST, FlexRay and more recently the use of Ethernet. In the future, wireless in-vehicle communication might also become a possibility.

Hybrid wireless network protocols

IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, 2003
Basically, there are two types of wireless network systems - base-station (BS) oriented networks and ad hoc wireless networks. In the first type, the mobile hosts communicate with base stations, while, in ad hoc networks, the mobile hosts communicate with one another directly. The BS-oriented wireless network has better performance and is more reliable.

Hybrid Neural Networks for Immunoinformatics

International Conference on Computational Intelligence for Modelling, Control and Automation and International Conference on Intelligent Agents, Web Technologies and Internet Commerce (CIMCA-IAWTIC'06), 2006
Hybrid set of optimally trained feed-forward, Hop-field and Elman neural networks were used as computational tools and were applied to immunoinformatics. These neural networks enabled a better understanding of the functions and key components of the adaptive immune system.

Hybrid Optical Wireless Networks

International Conference on Networking, International Conference on Systems and International Conference on Mobile Communications and Learning Technologies (ICNICONSMCL'06), 2006
This paper describes a dynamic reconfiguration algorithm for a hybrid fiber wireless network, which takes advantage of dynamic reconfiguration in WDM based optical networks to provide bandwidth on the fly. The WDM technique for optical networks allows network operators to extend the existing capacity of passive optical networks manifolds.

Hybrid Anticipatory Networks

2012
This paper presents a theory of hybrid anticipatory networks that generalizes earlier models of consequence anticipation in multicriteria decision problems. We assume that the decision maker takes into account the anticipated outcomes of future decision problems linked by the causal relations with the present decision problem.

Cooperative hybrid ARQ networks

2014 22nd Signal Processing and Communications Applications Conference (SIU), 2014
In this work, the performance contribution of a relay node which cooperates to a source node during the transmission of data packets from source node to destination node is investigated. The effect of diversity gain to the performance of a network consists of correlated flat-faded Rayleigh channels.

Synchronization in Complex Hybrid Networks

2007 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2007
Synchronization in complex hybrid networks is studied. Hybrid networks presents the so called "small world" phenomenon, i.e. small distance between any pair of nodes and clustering effect, and can be considered as the union of a local and a global graph, the former providing local connections and the latter providing small distances.

IN in the hybrid broadband network: the intelligent web

Proceedings of IN'96, 2002
This paper explores the role of IN in a mega-heterogeneous network. Such a network is built up using a mixture of many different technologies, both for switching user-to-user information (such as speech) and for signalling. The contribution focuses on the 'traditional' public network (I.e.
