Duality of hybrid optimal regulator and hybrid optimal filter

International Journal of Control, 1995
This note shows that the problems of optimal control of linear, continuous-time, deterministic systems with piecewise constant control and optimal filtering of linear, continuous-time stochastic systems using sampled filtered observations are dual to each other.

Optimization of Hybrid Composite Properties

Journal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry, 1990
Hybrid composites have been a popular class of a wear‐resistant posterior composite restorative material. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of hybridization on the physical properties of a composite with different amounts of submicron silica (0.04 μrn) with semiporous strontium glass (1.4 μm ave. by number/5 μm ave.

Hybrid Aeroelastic Optimization and Antioptimization

AIAA Journal, 2001
A simple aeroelastic structure possessing uncertain elastic modulus, which is modeled as varying either in a convex hull of experimental data points or within an approximating ellipse of minimum area containing all of the data, is studied. A solution of an antioptimization problem, which is dee ned as the search for the worst critical velocity under ...

Optimal sequencing by hybridization in rounds

Proceedings of the fifth annual international conference on Computational biology, 2001
Sequencing by hybridization (SBH) is a method for sequencing DNA. The Watson-Crick complementarity of DNA can be used to determine whether the DNA contains an oligonucleotide substring. A large number of oligonucleotides can be arranged on an array (SBH chip).

Optimized Hybrid Electricity Generation

2021
The energy is very crucial nowadays due to high usage of technology. Hence the renewable energy source is must fulfill the current energy requirement. Therefore, this paper presents the designing of an optimized hybrid electricity generation at a low cost. It is designed using a solar, wind and piezoelectric sensor.

Hybrid Systems and Hybrid Optimal Control

2017
Whenever a dynamic system has continuous-valued control inputs and states, but can switch between multiple subsystems with different dynamical behaviors, different numbers of active inputs and states, etc., then the dynamic system can be modeled as a hybrid system. Hybrid systems occur naturally in many technical applications as well as in applications
