The estimation of the new self-pollinated waxy maize lines and hybrids (Zea mays l. Ceratina)

open access: yesЗерновое хозяйство России, 2021
Though waxy maize is a valuable raw material for the starch industry, its subspecies are still poorly studied. The purpose of the current work was to study the new self-pollinated hybrids and lines of waxy maize according to a complex of economically ...

Hybrid Nanoscopy of Hybrid Nanomaterials

open access: yesSmall, 2017
The combination of complementary techniques to characterize materials at the nanoscale is crucial to gain a more complete picture of their structure, a key step to design and fabricate new materials with improved properties and diverse functions. Here it is shown that correlative atomic force microscopy (AFM) and localization-based super-resolution ...

Solution-Processed Bulk Heterojunction Solar Cells with Silyl End-Capped Sexithiophene

open access: yesInternational Journal of Photoenergy, 2013
We fabricated solution-processed organic photovoltaic cells (OPVs) using substituted two sexithiophenes, a,w-bis(dimethyl-n-octylsilyl)sexithiophene (DSi-6T) and a,w-dihexylsexithiophene (DH-6T), as electron donors, and [6,6]-phenyl-C61-butyric acid ...

The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

Produção de fitomassa em genótipos de citros submetidos a estresse hídrico na formação do porta-enxerto Dry matter production of citrus genotypes under water stress during the rootstock formation

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).
