A 62-year-old man presented with back pain that had progressively worsened over the previous 4 months. Pain was not associated with neurological impairment. We report 2 cases of hydatid cysts occurring in the submandibular gland and buccal submucosa, respectively. Our first case occurred in the submandibular salivary gland of a 20-year-old woman and the second involved the buccal submucosa of a 6-year-old boy. Both diagnoses were made after the excision of the lesions.

Hydatid Cyst of the Mediastinum
Diseases of the Chest, 1969Although over 13,000 cases of hydatid disease have been reported in Argentina since 1936, this paper reports only the 15th case of primary mediastinal hydatid. Intracranial hydatid cysts, although still rare, are being seen with increasing frequency. We report 12 cases of intracerebral hydatid cysts diagnosed with the use of computed tomography. We also review the methods recently available for diagnosis and therapy of this disease. Excellent therapeutic results can be achieved through surgical removal of the

Cardiopericardial Hydatid Cysts [PDF]
Cardiac hydatic cyst is a rare parasitic disease. We reported 45 patients with cardiac hydatid cysts; 33 of the 45 had a primitive, unique cardiac cyst. Altogether, 18 patients of our series were asymptomatic, and 27 patients complained of symptoms (dyspnea, chest pain, palpitations). In 11 cases the cyst was revealed by an acute complication; 3 of the

Eleven cases of spinal hydatid cyst are reported. The patients were admitted with symptoms of compression of the spinal cord. The cysts were localized epidurally in 10 patients and intradurally but extramedullarily in one, and were confirmed histopatholgically after surgical intervention.
