We report the case of a 7-year-old girl who presented with a history of headache and vomiting for 15 days duration and three episodes of seizures before admission.

A 37-year-old man was evaluated for a 6-month history of upper abdominal pain with weight loss. Physical examination revealed a palpable mass at the left lobe of the liver. There was no associated fever or chills. Laboratory data showed a mild elevation of serum ALT (117 U/l), direct bilirubin (1.8 mg/dl), and white blood cells (11.7 x 10/l).

Hydatid cysts rarely appear isolated in the orbital cavity without involvement of other organs. Most of these are situated in the superolateral and superomedial angles of the orbit. Inferiorly located cysts are very uncommon. The authors report a case of a primary hydatid cyst of the orbit with inferiolateral localization.
