Heat capacity of hydration in zeolites

American Mineralogist, 2007
Dehydration of zeolites is a critical factor in their stability, effectiveness as storage media for thermal energy, and influence on the thermal evolution of radioactive waste repositories. Prediction of the hydration states of zeolites as a function of temperature, pressure, and water activity is often hampered by limited data on the heat capacity ...

Heat Transfer in Gas Hydrate Sediment

2018
Gas hydrate buried in reservoir rock at low temperature and high pressure conditions is solid clathrate compound in which gas molecules are lodged within ice crystals. Two approaches, increasing the temperature and decreasing the pressure, are commonly used in exploiting gas hydrate. With temperature increasing, phase transition of pore ice will reduce

Thermochemical heat storage materials – Performance of mixed salt hydrates

Solar Energy, 2016
Abstract Thermochemical heat storage is highly promising, in particularly with a view to long-term heat storage. For the implementation of heat storage in households, thermochemical reactions in the low temperature range below 120 °C are important. Especially salt hydrates such as MgCl2, CaCl2 or MgSO4 were tested with micro gravimetric methods for ...

Finite Element Simulation of Hydration Heat Using Fuzzy Logic Model of Hydration

Key Engineering Materials, 2016
This paper deals with heat of hydration in a concrete structure at the early age. The influence of temperature on development of hydration heat in the concrete structure is implemented through a fuzzy-logic model of the degree of hydration. The transient heat transfer problem was solved as a three-dimensional finite element simulation.

On the hydration heat capacity change of benzene

Biophysical Chemistry, 2005
The heat capacity change associated with the hydration of benzene is a large and positive quantity, but it is significantly smaller than that associated with the hydration of an alkane having the same accessible surface area of benzene, the corresponding alkane. This large difference merits attention and should be rationalized.
