Fairey Hydraulics—Surface Actuators
Aircraft Engineering and Aerospace Technology, 1968THE Jaguar stands out today as one of the most successful examples of international collaboration in the whole field of aerospace technology. It is only just over three years since Britain and France decided to pool resources and produce a common aircraft type — or rather a closely related family of types — to meet their needs for ground attack, close ...

A hydraulically actuated compound pendulum
Proceeding of the 1996 IEEE International Conference on Control Applications IEEE International Conference on Control Applications held together with IEEE International Symposium on Intelligent Control IEEE International Symposium on Computer-Aided Contro, 2002This paper describes the design, manufacture, and implementation of an experimental apparatus, namely, a "rotational compound pendulum", which is currently under development in the Controls Lab at the Mechanical Engineering Department at Kansas State University. The project is partially funded by the National Science Foundation.

Hydraulic actuated brake and electromechanically actuated brake systems
International Conference on Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), 2001The paper outlines simulation studies and investigations of a hydraulic actuated brake (HAB) and an alternative electromechanically actuated brake (EMB) system on a half-car model using the Simulink environment. The vehicle simulation model used is briefly explained as follows.

Digital Algorithm for Hydraulic Actuator
SAE Technical Paper Series, 1986<div class="htmlview paragraph">An electronically controlled Easy Drive System (EDS), the NAVI-5, is now used in the Isuzu Aska, to permit automatic gear changes with in the basic structure of a manual transmission. This is achieved by synchromeshed transmission gears and a single disk dry clutch operated by hydraulic actuators and controlled by ...

Simulation of a Hydraulic Actuator
IBM Journal of Research and Development, 1964A simple mathematical model of a hydraulic actuator is formulated, and the differential equations describing the model are derived. Experimental data and a computational solution of the model are determined. Results correspond favorably with oscilloscope velocity traces; hence the model could serve a useful purpose in mechanical design.

Acoustical testing of hydraulic actuators
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1987A device for testing hydraulic actuators using acoustical transducers to se sound sources indicative of leaks or other defects in the actuator. A graph of acoustic signals versus piston location may be determined using one acoustic transducer and one position sensor. A correlation function may be obtained by cross-correlating the output from two spaced

DIGITAL HYDRAULIC ACTUATOR STUDY
1966Abstract : To further support the practicability of the digital hydraulic actuator as a control component, IBM has successfully demonstrated operation of the Phase III laboratory model in a simulated digital flight control system. Performance using the laboratory model is compared with the performance when using a mathematical model.

Hydraulically Actuated Linkage Motion Analysis
SAE Technical Paper Series, 1990<div class="htmlview paragraph">Many types of mechanical linkages are in use on fluid power equipment. Linkages are often used in hydromechanical servomechanisms and in actuator powered machine members used to accomplish desired working functions.

An electro-hydraulic actuator has an electric motor (25) disposed in a hydraulic fluid reservoir (17) and connected to drive a hydraulic fluid pump (23). The actuator includes an actuator rod (15) which extends or retracts as a piston (20) is hydraulically driven in a cylinder (19). An actuator housing (13) forms the reservoir (17) and the cylinder (19)
