Saturated Soil Hydraulic Conductivity
2016This chapter deals primarily with field measurement of saturated soil hydraulic conductivity, K fs . Well or borehole permeameter techniques, specifically developed for subsurface soil measurements above the water table, are initially illustrated. Particular attention is paid to establishment of steady flow under constant head in an uncased borehole ...

ONE-PARAMETER MODELS FOR UNSATURATED HYDRAULIC CONDUCTIVITY
Soil Science, 1998Simple one-parameter models for predicting changes in unsaturated soil hydraulic properties with changing soil-water content are useful, considering the great uncertainty and variability in the hydraulic parameters, and the models are often used for stochastic simulations of water and solute transport under field conditions.

HYDRAULIC CONDUCTIVITY OF PEATS
Soil Science, 1965AN ANALYSIS OF THE DATA COLLECTED REVEALED THAT FIELD- MEASURED HYDRAULIC CONDUCTIVITIES OF PEATS WERE SIGNIFICANTLY LOWER THAN CORRESPONDING LABORATORY VALUES. IT WAS ASSUMED THE FIELD-MEASURED VALUE WOULD MORE ACCURATELY REPRESENT THE HYDRAULIC CONDUCTIVITY OF ORGANIC SOILS.

Hydraulic Conductivity in Trees
Journal of Experimental Botany, 1971Hydraulic conductivity in woody-stemmed plants is reviewed and published determinations collated and statistically analysed. Confusion between the expressions for conductivity and specific or relative conductivity are clarified, and their relationship established.

Seasonal Variability of Hydraulic Conductivity
Transactions of the ASAE, 1993Seasonal variations in hydraulic conductivity and related properties in Conestogo silt loam are needed for modeling hydrologic responses. Saturated hydraulic conductivity and matric flux potential in the surface layer were field determined during fall (October/November) and spring (March/April) seasons.

Field Measurement of Hydraulic Conductivity
Journal of the Irrigation and Drainage Division, 1961Small, screened wellpoint has been developed for use in making measurements of hydraulic conductivity of sand strata below water table; rate at which water was pumped out of wellpoint related directly to conductivity of strata being tested; description of construction and operation of field type wellpoint; graphs are provided which relate quantity of ...

Geostatistical Characteristics of Hydraulic Conductivity
Geographical and Environmental Modelling, 2002The aquifer which forms the main water supply for the municipalities of Malmo and Lund owes its value to the deposition of coarse sands during the deglaciation of the late Weichselian ice. Spatial statistical analysis based on construction of the variogram has been applied to the hydraulic conductivity of this aquifer.

Vadose Zone Composite Hydraulic Conductivity
Journal of Irrigation and Drainage Engineering, 1992Grid networks, consisting of nodes and line elements, are often used in porous media flow simulation. An important step in the simulation process is the quantification of the line element conductivity when the pressure or capillary potential at both end nodes is given.
