Building‐Tailored Hierarchical Electrochromism with Optimized Control Strategies

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study addresses the material‐application disconnect in electrochromic smart windows by establishing a building‐centric paradigm. It develops a Prussian blue (PB)‐based electrochromic device (ECD) with four spectral states via dual mechanisms, and proposes two control strategies.

Improving Interlayer Interactions in Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell through Carbon Nanotube‐Based Catalyst Design

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review highlights how carbon nanotube (CNT)–based catalyst designs enhance proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) performance by improving interlayer interactions. Vertically aligned CNTs facilitate water management, mass transfer, and electron conduction while promoting effective active sites and reducing interfacial resistance.

Resonant mode controllers for launch vehicle applications [PDF]

open access: yes
Electro-mechanical actuator (EMA) systems are currently being investigated for the National Launch System (NLS) as a replacement for hydraulic actuators due to the large amount of manpower and support hardware required to maintain the hydraulic systems ...

Composition‐Controlled Cathode Protective Layer via Powder‐Atomic Layer Deposition for All‐Solid‐State Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Composition control of the LiZrO protective layer via atomic layer deposition modulates its ionic and electronic conductivities, directly affecting interfacial stability and electrochemical performances of the sulfide‐based all‐solid‐state batteries. This study establishes the composition of the protective layer as an essential design axis for cathode ...
