The price responsiveness of shale producers: Evidence from micro data
We show that U.S. shale oil producers exhibit a high degree of short‐run price responsiveness, primarily through the timing of well completions and refracturing. Using a novel monthly well‐level panel covering over 120,000 shale wells across ten states from 2005 to 2019, we document significant supply adjustments to price signals.

Shale gas hydraulic fracturing usually activates nearby faults and makes them slip. In horizontal wells, fault slip can result in serious casing deformation.

Abstract Despite a 2.1‐fold increase in oil and gas (O&G) production from 2012 to 2021 in the Wattenberg Field (WF) area of the Denver‐Julesburg Basin (DJB), total methane (CH4) emissions have remained unchanged within measurement uncertainties (26.0 ± 6.8 t/hr in 2012, 24.0 ± 5 t/hr in 2015, and 21.4 ± 5.7 t/hr in 2021), while ethane (C2H6) emissions ...

To resolve the occurrence mechanism of the Luxian earthquake occurred near an active hydraulic fracturing well pad on 15 September 2021, we first use seismic waveforms to invert the focal mechanism solution and centroid depth, and then utilize Sentinel‐1

Study on catastrophe mechanism of hydraulic fracturing fracks initiation in radial boreholes
Radial drilling hydraulic fracturing has become a new stimulation method. The hydraulic fracturing effect of radial drilling on site is not ideal, and the stimulation effect of some wells is not obvious. The hydraulic fracturing effect of radial drilling is closely related to the crack initiation position after radial drilling fracturing.
