Hydraulic fracturing: Computational modelling
Revue européenne de génie civil, 2006This paper presents an efficient algorithm for modelling hydraulic fracturing based on the finite element method. The algorithm is employed for modelling the different coupled non-linear processes that are involved in the problem of hydraulic fracturing.

Calibrating hydraulic network models
Journal AWWA, 1997To a novice, careful calibration of a hydraulic network model may be as daunting a task as climbing Mt. Everest.Although calibration should always be included in any hydraulic analysis, it is often neglected or done haphazardly. As a result, inappropriate data may be used or data errors may be overlooked, so the resulting hydraulic model is of limited ...

Hydraulic Fluid Mathematical Modeling
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2013In hydraulic system, the property of hydraulic fluid will have non-linear behavior change when the temperature and pressure of fluid and the amount of dissolved and undissolved air vary, thus influencing the hydraulic system performance. The authors first studied the property of hydraulic fluid, and then constructed the mathematical expression ...

Hydraulic model investigations.
2020This thesis is based upon the work and experience of the author since 1956. During this period he has been engaged in the design, construction and operation of hydraulic models, first as an engineer employed by the Department of Public Works, N.S.W. and then as a Lecturer in Civil Engineering in the University of Queensland.

Practical hydraulic turbine model
2006 IEEE Power Engineering Society General Meeting, 2006This paper reports on some practical hydraulic turbine models for Francis turbines and pumped-storage hydraulic turbines. The power system frequency during transient conditions greatly depends on governor control characteristics. Hydraulic governors take on an important role to stabilize a power system frequency.
