New Hydraulic System Modelling

Journal of Vibration and Control, 2004
The efficient design of hydraulic systems requires fast simulation methods. In most simulation programs, the hydraulic components are coupled by compressible joints. Since the compressibility of oil is very small, this leads to stiff differential equations.

Hydraulic fracturing: Computational modelling

Revue européenne de génie civil, 2006
This paper presents an efficient algorithm for modelling hydraulic fracturing based on the finite element method. The algorithm is employed for modelling the different coupled non-linear processes that are involved in the problem of hydraulic fracturing.

Calibrating hydraulic network models

Journal AWWA, 1997
To a novice, careful calibration of a hydraulic network model may be as daunting a task as climbing Mt. Everest.Although calibration should always be included in any hydraulic analysis, it is often neglected or done haphazardly. As a result, inappropriate data may be used or data errors may be overlooked, so the resulting hydraulic model is of limited ...
