RESEARCH ON HYDRAULIC RESISTANCE OF CENTRIFUGAL CLASSIFIER WITH CURVILINEAR BLADES [PDF]

open access: yesТехника и технология пищевых производств, 2016
To calculate aspiration networks and select standard equipment it is necessary to know the magnitude of pressure loss in the unit’s individual elements.

Revised Friction Groups for Evaluating Hydraulic Parameters: Pressure Drop, Flow, and Diameter Estimation

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Engineering
Suitable friction groups are provided for solving three typical hydraulic problems. While the friction group based on viscous forces is used for calculating the pressure drop or head loss in pipes and open channels, commonly referred to as the Type 1 ...

Accurate and Efficient Explicit Approximations of the Colebrook Flow Friction Equation Based on the Wright ω-Function

open access: yesMathematics, 2018
The Colebrook equation is a popular model for estimating friction loss coefficients in water and gas pipes. The model is implicit in the unknown flow friction factor, f.

MODELING HEAT EXCHANGE DEPENDING ON THE PRANDTL NUMBER FOR VARIOUS GEOMETRIC AND REGIME PARAMETERS

open access: yesВестник Дагестанского государственного технического университета: Технические науки, 2020
Objectives. The aim is to study the dependency of the distribution of integral heat transfer during turbulent convective heat transfer in a pipe with a sequence of periodic protrusions of semicircular geometry on the Prandtl number using the calculation ...

A Technique for Rapid Bacterial-Density Enumeration through Membrane Filtration and Differential Pressure Measurements

open access: yesMicromachines, 2022
In this article, we present a microfluidic technique for the rapid enumeration of bacterial density with a syringe filter to trap bacteria and the quantification of the bacterial density through pressure difference measurement across the membrane. First,

Influence of Test Temperature and Test Frequency on Fatigue Life of Aluminum Alloy EN AW‐2618A

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The influence of test temperature and test frequency on the fatigue life of EN AW‐2618A is investigated. High‐cycle fatigue tests are performed at different test temperatures and frequencies on the 1000 h/230°C overaged state. Both test parameters reduce fatigue life due to time‐dependent damage mechanisms.

Unified Friction Formulation from Laminar to Fully Rough Turbulent Flow

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2018
This paper provides a new unified formula for Newtonian fluids valid for all pipe flow regimes from laminar to fully rough turbulent flow. This includes laminar flow; the unstable sharp jump from laminar to turbulent flow; and all types of turbulent ...

Compatibility of Methacrylate Based Resins Controls Interfacial Failure and Toughness in 3D‐Printed Multimaterial Composites

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This work shows that the mechanical performance of multimaterial digital light processing (DLP) printed thermoset composites is governed by resin compatibility and interfacial design rather than spatial patterning alone. Brittle and ductile resin combinations produced premature interfacial failure, while graded interfaces and mechanically compatible ...

Comparison of Triply Periodic Minimal Surface Energy Absorbers Under Uniaxial Compressive Loading

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates LCD 3D printed Triply Periodic Minimal Surface (TPMS) structures as mechanical energy absorbers. By comparing various base designs and layered combinations under uniaxial compression, it identifies that a Diamond‐Gyroid sandwich structure offers superior performance.
