Self‐Assembly of Organic–Inorganic Copolymers Toward Bio‐Inspired Cementitious Composites

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Organic–inorganic copolymerization of calcium silicate hydrate and thioctic acid produces a self‐organized nanocomposite inspired by the disordered collagen–mineral architecture of trabecular bone. The resulting material combines a compressive strength above 300 MPa with intrinsic physical reprocessibility, retaining over 80% of its strength and energy

The thermodynamic method applied to hydraulic transmissions

open access: yesProceedings of the JFPS International Symposium on Fluid Power, 1993
Two hydraulic transmissions are tested for determination of the efficiency by two methods, the basic one by hydraulic measurements and the other by thermodynamic measurements. The hydraulic method is giving the total efficiency of the transmission on the base of hydraulic power input to the motor and hydraulic power output from the pump.

Decouple H2O2 Electrosynthesis From Microenvironmental Decomposition via Atomic Site Density Engineering

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Using defect‐rich Co‐N2O2 single‐atom catalysts as a model system, this work reveals that atomic site density governs the competition between H2O2 electrosynthesis and microenvironmental decomposition during 2e−‐ORR. Optimised site isolation suppresses HPRR and HDR, thereby establishing a site‐density principle to balance H2O2 formation and ...
