Study on Dynamic Response of Offshore Wind Turbine Structure Under Typhoon
Floating offshore wind turbines are easily affected by typhoons in the deep sea, which may cause serious damage to their structure. Therefore, it is necessary to study further the dynamic response of wind turbine structures under typhoons.

Double Helix Structure for Stable Flexural Actuation in Soft Robotics
This work introduces a double‐helical architecture for soft robotic actuators that enhances twisting resistance, increases output force, and minimizes undesired deformation. Actuators driven by shape‐memory alloy wires exhibit a roughly fivefold higher torsional/flexural stiffness ratio and 50% greater force output.

Research on Diaphragm Pump Fault Diagnosis Method Based on Res‐DCB‐Net
ABSTRACT Nonstationary pressure pulsation signals of diaphragm pumps contain strong background noise and coupled characteristics. This makes it challenging to extract incipient fault features and to decouple faults with similar physical mechanisms. To address these limitations, this paper proposes a spatiotemporal fault diagnosis model named Res‐DCB ...

An Aero-acoustic Noise Distribution Prediction Methodology for Offshore Wind Farms
Recently attention has been paid to wind farm noise due to its negative health impact, not only on human beings, but also to marine and terrestrial organisms. The current work proposes a numerical methodology to generate a numerical noise map for a given

Energy Flexibilization and Demand Response for a Novel Decentralized Power‐to‐Methanol Process
This study presents the results of an optimization framework for the scheduling of a Power‐to‐methanol process coupled with an electrolyser, renewable energy sources and a battery. The optimal dynamic operating schedule is computed with different configurations and boundary conditions, showing the advantages of flexible operation.

Influence of the material used to build the blades of a wind turbine on their starting conditions
Wind energy has been shown to be one of the most viable sources of renewable energy. Hydraulic machines that convert the energy of a fluid into mechanical energy are called turbines. A wind turbine is a device which extracts kinetic energy from the wind.

Variable Blade Inertia in State-of-the-Art Wind Turbine Structural-Dynamics Models
This paper presents a comparison of two methods to represent variable blade inertia in two codes for aero-servo-elastic simulations of wind turbines: the nonlinear aeroelastic multi-body model HAWC2 and the nonlinear geometrically exact beam model ...

This study demonstrates the feasibility of an underground closed‐loop thermal storage facility at a post‐mining site, intended for seasonal heat energy storage. Its principal design shows water flow directions in winter and summer (1, 2), heat pumps (3), an upper water reservoir (4), and connecting pipes (5).
