Key factors affecting hydrocarbon accumulation in ancient dolomite gas reservoirs of Xixiangchi formation (Southern Sichuan Basin, China)

open access: yesFrontiers in Earth Science, 2023
The Upper Cambrian Xixiangchi Formation in the Southern Sichuan Basin, China, has favorable hydrocarbon accumulation conditions. The accumulation factors and enrichment conditions of this formation were key considerations in this study. By analyzing core,

Hydrophobic MFI‐Type Zeolites via Alkali‐Cation‐Induced Defect Healing: Implications for Adsorbent and Catalyst Design

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Sub‐stoichiometric amounts of Na+ or K+ enhance defect healing during Silicalite‐1 (MFI) and TS‐1 calcination by promoting Si–O–Si annealing and healing framework vacancies. The resulting defect‐free zeolites are more hydrophobic and show improved butanol/water separation and improved activity and selectivity in the epoxidation of 1‐hexene, offering a ...

Adsorption‐Engineered Hydrocarbon Ionomers for Durable Proton‐Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Hydrocarbon ionomers suffer from oxidation‐driven interfacial degradation in PEM fuel cell cathodes, leading to catalyst instability. Here, adsorption‐engineered poly(fluorene) ionomers decouple interfacial anchoring from oxidative degradation, enabling strong catalyst–ionomer interactions while resisting electrochemical oxidation.

Application of Trace Elements in the Study of Oil-Source Correlation and Hydrocarbon Migration in the Tarim Basin, China

open access: yes, 2010
Oil source and hydrocarbon migration are critical in the study of hydrocarbon accumulation. Under the complicated conditions of hydrocarbon accumulation, traditional organic geochemistry has its limitation. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to try

Defect‐Engineered Microwave‐Responsive Ni@C Composites From Waste PET for Catalytic Plastic Upcycling

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A circular upcycling strategy transforms waste poly(ethylene terephthalate) bottles into microwave‐responsive Ni@C catalyst featuring lattice‐distorted nickel cores and defective carbon shells. These strain‐rich heterointerfaces enhance dielectric loss and promote localized microwave hotspots, accelerating peroxymonosulfate activation and polymer‐chain
