The Effect of Climate Warming on the Hydrochemistry of Alpine Lakes
Water, Air, and Soil Pollution, 2003The hydrochemistry of mountain lakes is highly conditioned by the chemical composition of atmospheric deposition and by climate characteristics. Consequently these ecosystems have proved to be sensitive to long-term changes in both factors. Climate warming seems to be particularly pronounced in the Alpine region.

Environmental isotopes in hydrology and hydrochemistry
1985The term ‘environmental isotopes’ was proposed some time ago for a number of globally distributed isotopes of various elements. One of the environmental isotopes is tritium, or 3H, of cosmic ray origin. During the hydrogen bomb tests in 1952 to 1962, it was released into the atmosphere in quantities which were enormous compared with the cosmic ray ...

Applications of hydrochemistry and environmental isotopes
1985Application of hydrochemistry and environmental isotopes can be envisaged in two ways. Applications may pertain to hydrological problems; how can one use hydrochemical information for hydrological purposes? Establishing the origin of groundwater and estimating its recharge rate are common examples of the type of problems concerning groundwater.
