Hydrochemistry of Lake Glubokoe
Hydrobiologia, 1986Results of hydrochemical observations in the summer of 1983 are presented and compared to the data of previous years. Some trends in the changing conditions of the lake over the last fifty years are characterized. Data on the chemical composition of bottom deposits are also reported.

In the previous chapter, there were methodologies and related software about the quantity of groundwater resources. In practical applications, water quality is another very significant dimension for the planning and joint water resources management. For this purpose, major anion and cation analyses provide basic quality classification information in ...

Glacier meltwater hydrochemistry
Applied Geochemistry, 2002Abstract Glacierised areas present an ideal environment in which to study water-rock interaction, since chemical weathering rates are high and anthropogenic impacts are often minimal. Detailed investigations of meltwater quality variations have suggested the importance of these environments in estimates of terrestrial chemical erosion and global ...

Detecting induced correlations in hydrochemistry
Chemical Geology, 2011Abstract Plots containing common variables are prone to induced correlations. These plots are commonly used in hydrochemistry and other branches of geochemistry with no discussion of the potential influence of the common variables on the observed trends. Some examples from the literature include: (1) Comparison of a sum to a component of the sum. (2)

HYDROCHEMISTRY OF FORESTED CATCHMENTS
Annual Review of Earth and Planetary Sciences, 1997“The song of a river ordinarily means the tune that waters play on rock, root, and rapid. …This song of the waters is audible to every ear, but there is other music in these hills, by no means audible to all. To hear even a few notes of it you must first live here for a long time, and you must know the speech of hills and rivers. Then on a still night,

Hydrochemistry of Lakes of Tajikistan
2002There are about 1500 lakes in the Pamirs [2, 5], including small (≤1 km2) lakes with total water surface area over 680 km2, which make 97.5% of the total number but only 9% of their total area. The water chemistry of lakes in the Pamirs has very limited literature.

South China Karst Aquifer Storm‐Scale Hydrochemistry
Groundwater, 2004Abstract The peak cluster and peak forest karst regions of Southeast Asia form one of the earth's most extensive karst regions. Although there exists a rich, descriptive tradition of geomorphic work performed there, little quantitative study has been made of carbonate hydrochemistry and related aquifer/landscape ...

Hydrochemistry of precipitation of northern Jordan
International Journal of Environmental Studies, 1988In this paper, the precipitation water quality in Jordan is discussed with respect to a station located in central northern Jordan and supported by analyses from different other locations. In contrast to industrialized countries, precipitation over Jordan is dominantly alkaline. Only after heavy rain does the rainwater turn acidic. The dissolved solids

The purpose of this section is to help in the understanding of the mechanics of atoms and molecules in the water media, basing it as far as possible on modern theories of the physics of atoms. In a sense the present picture of atomic structure is fairly classical, although the more recent application of wave mechanics to problems of interaction of ...
