Photochemical interaction between triamterene and hydrochlorthiazide
International Journal of Pharmaceutics, 1991Abstract Flash photolysis and steady-state photosensitized oxidation experiments have been used to show that there is an interaction or cross-sensitization between the diuretic drugs, triamterene and hydrochlorthiazide, when irradiated with UV light in the same solution.

A comparison of the antihypertensive effect of chlorthalidone and hydrochlorthiazide
Clinical Pharmacology & Therapeutics, 1964Chlorthalidone, hydrochlorthiazide, and a placebo were compared in a double‐blind study. Both drugs used in this study were effective antihypertensive agents and produced similar electrolyte changes.

Diuretic Response to Hydrochlorthiazide in Rheumatoid Arthritis
Acta Rheumatologica Scandinavica, 1962SummaryA series of 20 patients with rheumatoid arthritis and an equal number of controls were studied with regard to the diuretic action of hydrochlorthiazide. It was observed that, during hydrochlorthiazide medication, the decrease in weight was distinctly greater in the series of patients with rheumatoid arthritis than in the controls. Loss of weight

Simultaneous LC Determination of Chlorogenic Acid and Hydrochlorthiazide in Zhenju Jiangya Tablets
Chromatographia, 2006A method has been developed to determine chlorogenic acid and hydrochlorothiazide simultaneously in Zhenju Jiangya tablets by HPLC using an isocratic mode and UV detection. A solution of acetonitrile-0.4% phosphoric acid (13:87, v/v) was used as mobile phase. Results showed that the two compounds were well separated.

The antihypertensive, saluretic and hypokalaemic effects of a small dose of cyclothiazide (2.5 mg daily) were compared with those of a conventional dose of an hydrochlorthiazide-amiloride hydrochloride combination (50 + 5 mg daily). Both preparations were given to 13 patients with mild (WHO I) hypertension in a cross-over manner for six weeks, with an ...

Effect of pindolol on changes in serum lipids induced by hydrochlorthiazide
European Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, 1989Forty-two patients with essential hypertension, WHO I-II, and a diastolic blood pressure greater than or equal to 100 mm Hg, were initially given 25 mg hydrochlorthiazide alone. After treatment for 3 months 10 mg pindolol was also given to 16 of them as the diastolic blood pressure had not been reduced to less than or equal to 90 mm Hg.

Journal of Microwave Power and Electromagnetic Energy, 2005
Drying processes have evolved considerably over the years, aiming at the best conditions to shorten the processing time, but maintaining the highest final product quality. The application of vacuums to the microwave drying process might be interesting, especially for thermally sensitive products because the reduced boiling point of the solvent allows a
