UV Spectrophotometric Determination of Hydrochlorothiazide and Olmesartan Medoxomil in Pharmaceutical Formulation

open access: yesJournal of Chemistry, Volume 7, Issue 4, Page 1156-1161, 2010., 2010
A simple, specific, accurate, precise and reproducible method has been developed and validated for the simultaneous estimation of hydrochlorothiazide and Olmesartan medoxomil in combined dosage form by UV spectrophotometric method. UV spectrophotometric method includes Simultaneous equation method (Method I) 271.5 nm and 257.0 nm λmax of both the drugs

Report to Ministry of Health [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Emerging pollutants are thought to be responsible for the most significant share of environmental, human health and economic risk. Although the universe of chemical pollutants is enormous, we only monitor and have studied a minor fraction.

Pediatric intracranial hypertension: A review of presenting symptoms, quality of life, and secondary causes

open access: yesAnnals of the Child Neurology Society, Volume 2, Issue 1, Page 15-26, March 2024.
Abstract Our understanding of primary (idiopathic) intracranial hypertension has evolved in recent years. There have been efforts to rename the disorder as pseudotumor cerebri syndrome or primary intracranial hypertension. Some studies have suggested a higher threshold opening pressure to define intracranial hypertension.

A Novel System to Diagnose Cutaneous Adverse Drug Reactions Employing the Cellscan—Comparison with Histamine Releasing Test and Inf‐γ Releasing Test

open access: yesJournal of Immunology Research, Volume 12, Issue 1, Page 85-90, 2005., 2005
Background: There are several mechanisms to describe allergic drug reactions yet the methods to diagnose them are limited. Objective: To compare several conventional clinical and laboratory methods to diagnose skin reactions to drugs to a new method of diagnosing drug reactions by the CellScan system.

Effect of Hydrochlorthiazide on Renal Blood Flow and Clearance of Para-Aminohippurate and Creatinine.

open access: yesExperimental Biology and Medicine, 1966
SummaryAdministration of hydrochlor-thiazide at a diuretic dose (5 mg/kg) did not alter either renal hemodynamics or the clearances of PAH and creatinine. When given at 10 mg/kg or at 30 mg/kg; hydrochlorthiazide depressed significantly the clearances of PAH and creatinine.

Emerging role of calcium-activated potassium channel in the regulation of cell viability following potassium ions challenge in HEK293 cells and pharmacological modulation.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2013
Emerging evidences suggest that Ca(2+)activated-K(+)-(BK) channel is involved in the regulation of cell viability. The changes of the cell viability observed under hyperkalemia (15 mEq/L) or hypokalemia (0.55 mEq/L) conditions were investigated in HEK293

Diuretic activity of roots from Carica papaya L. and Ananas comosus L. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Water extracts of Carica papaya and Ananas comosus extracts were administered orally at doses of 5 and 10 mg/kg to Spraque Dawley rats. Two other groups were given commercial diuretics, furosemide and hydrochlorthiazide at 10 mg/kg.
