Sorption on hydrodesulfurization catalysts
Journal of Catalysis, 1979Abstract The adsorption of hydrocarbons, thiophenes, esters, acids, and anilines on MoS2 and on sulfurized CoMoAl2O3 and Al2O3 catalysts has been investigated by a chromatographic method at 200 °C. The polarity of catalysts, estimated from differences in the adsorption of alkanes and aromatic hydrocarbons, decreases in the order Al2O3 > CoMoAl2O3

Electron Microscopy in hydrodesulfurization catalysts
Proceedings, annual meeting, Electron Microscopy Society of America, 1990Applications of transition metal sulfides for hydroprocessing catalysts have included a variety of reactions. It is generally believed that an interaction between the active phase (Mo or W) and the promoter (Co or Ni) takes place. Several models have been suggested to explain the enhanced catalytic activity.

Kinetics of dibenzothiophene hydrodesulfurization
Journal of Catalysis, 1991Hydrotreating is a process in which organically bound sulfur and nitrogen compounds are removed from petroleum feedstocks to produce processible, stable, and environmentally acceptable liquid fuels or lubes. Essentially two types of catalysts, which differ in composition, are in use in current refineries: one is sulfided CoO-MoO{sub 3}/{gamma}-Al{sub 2}

Kinetics of resid hydrodesulfurization reactions
Chemistry and Technology of Fuels and Oils, 1986In this article the authors examine the results obtained in hydrodesulfurizing an atmospheric resis from Bai-Hassan crude on Ni-Mo/Al/sub 2/O/sub 3/ catalyst at 320-420/sup 0/C, feedstock space velocity 0.37-2.6 h/sup -1/, pressure 6.1 MPa, and hydrogen/feed ratio 300 liters/liter, in a single-pass downflow reactor with a stationary bed of catalyst ...

Selective Catalytic Cracked Gasoline Hydrodesulfurization
2007This study investigated the possibility of improving catalytic cracked gasoline hydrodesulfurization (CCGHDS) selective on Co-Mo/y-Al 2 O 3 catalyst. The difference of the active sites was studied and three different active sites were proposed (i.e. HDS active site, isoolefin hydrogenation (HG) active site and n-olefin HG active site).
