Hydrogen from Biogas: Dynamic Modeling of an Integrated Shift Reactor
A dynamic, two‐dimensional shift reactor model for the production of hydrogen from biogas is presented. This shift reactor enables the preheating of the biogas feed and, in parallel, reduces fixed‐bed temperatures, resulting in increased hydrogen yields. The model is validated with measurement data from a pilot biogas steam reforming plant.

Coke Decomposition Kinetic Model of Spent Hydrodesulfurization Catalysts [PDF]
Recycling residue hydrodesulfurization (HDS) catalysts is essential due to frequent deactivation. Petroleum coke's high ignition temperature and complex combustion behavior stem from its graphite-like structure and low volatile matter.

Comparative Study of New Re-Ni-Mo/Al2o3 and Conventional Hydrodesulphurization Catalyst
New types of hydrodesulfurization (HDS) catalyst Re-Ni-Mo/ γ-Al2O3 was prepared and tested separately with two prepared conventional HDS catalysts (Ni-Mo/ γ-Al2O3 and Co-Mo//γ-Al2O3) by using a pilot plant hydrotreatment unit.

Crude-specific Optimal Operation of Hydrodesulfurization
Crude oil has different characteristics according to its origin, and this difference causes suboptimal operation if not considered. Similar to other refinery operations, hydrodesulfurization suffers from lacking this knowledge.

Steaming of Hydrodesulfurization Catalysts
Effects of steam-aging on the activity and physical properties of commercial hydrodesulfurization catalysts were studied under such conditions that the catalysts would be subjected to coke-burning regeneration in the commercial units. The steam-aging experiments were carried out using a 200cc autoclave under the conditions of 1-21kg/cm2-absolute and ...
