Hydrodynamic coefficients of a vertical circular cylinder
Canadian Journal of Civil Engineering, 1990The added mass and the damping coefficient of a large surface-piercing circular cylinder extending to the seabed and undergoing horizontal oscillations are described. A closed-form solution to the corresponding linear radiation problem is obtained by the use of eigenfunction expansions.

Hydrodynamic Coefficients of a Moored Semisubmersible in Waves
Journal of Offshore Mechanics and Arctic Engineering, 1992The hydrodynamic coefficients of a semisubmersible undergoing slow-drift oscillation were determined through a model test. The semisubmersible model was moored in head seas, fore and aft, with linear springs which were pretensioned and never became slack during any test run.

Hydrodynamic Coefficients and Depth Parameter
Journal of Waterway, Port, Coastal, and Ocean Engineering, 1985The in-line forces measured on a small section of a fixed vertical cylilnder in waves are analyzed to determine the effects of the hydrodynamic coefficients on the water depth parameter or the orbital shape parameter, Ω. The coefficients, C\dM, C\dD as well as an rms force coefficient, C\dF derived from these forces are found to be insensitive to the ...

Bridge Piers—Hydrodynamic Force Coefficients
Journal of the Hydraulics Division, 1968The forces experienced by models of three different types of bridge piers have been measured for angles of inclination between the stream flow and the pier axis in the range 0○ to 50○, and the results are presented in the form of drag coefficients and lift coefficients.

Experimental analysis of the hydrodynamic coefficients of net panels in current
Applied Ocean Research, 2018The hydrodynamic loads on net panels were affected significantly by the net configuration and the Reynolds number. Six groups of net panels with different materials, net solidities and knot patterns were experimentally analyzed in this study. The concept

Hydrodynamic friction coefficients for cellodextrins in water
Journal of Polymer Science Part A: General Papers, 1965AbstractThe diffusion coefficients for the cellobiose through cellohexaose members of the cellodextrin series were determined in water. The molecular friction coefficients calculated on the basis of the Einstein diffusion equation can be represented by, ζN = N ζa + 2ζe, where ζa is the monomeric friction coefficient of an anhydroglucose unit, ζe is a ...

Hydrodynamic coefficients for a vertical tube in an array
Applied Ocean Research, 1981Abstract In a wave tank test with vertical tube array arranged transverse to the wave direction, forces on two 1 ft instrumented sections as well as on the tubes are measured. The effect of the spacing of the tubes upon the forces on the tubes are investigated. The mass and drag coefficients are determined from the forces on the instrumented sections

Frequency Dependence of Hydrodynamic Coefficients in Roll
SNAME 29th American Towing Tank Conference, 2010A series of tow tank tests were performed to determine whether the added mass moment of inertia in roll and damping roll coefficient for a planing hull are frequency dependent. The model was forced in roll while running at planing speeds. The model was free to heave and pitch, but restrained in sway and yaw. The roll motion, pitch motion, speed and the
