Approximate Numerical Solution of Hydrodynamic Gas Journal Bearings
2008Considering small pressure change in the gas film of hydrodynamic gas-lubricated journal bearings, the corresponding nonlinear Reynolds equation is linearized through appropriate approximation and approximate Reynolds equation is derived and solved by means of finite difference method (FDM).
