Interface‐Engineered Graphene‐Coated Titanium Dioxide Nanoparticles for High‐Performance Grease Lubrication

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, Volume 13, Issue 3, 3 February 2026.
Graphene‐coated TiO2 core–shell nanoparticles are introduced as multifunctional additives for lithium grease, yielding an 85.7% reduction in wear rate, a 22% decrease in operating temperature, and improved film retention under mixed lubrication.

High‐Speed, Maneuverable, and Terrain‐Adaptive Micro‐Robot with Tree Frog‐Inspired Bionic Feet

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 7, 3 February 2026.
A 7.5 mm micro‐robot integrates tree frog‐inspired bionic feet with an electromagnetic linear motor to achieve high‐speed locomotion, slope climbing, and precise turning. It reaches 39 body lengths per second and ascends 30° slopes. The system demonstrates strong potential for inspection tasks in confined and complex environments, such as micro‐aero ...

Hydroxyl‐Rich Hyperbranched Polyglycerol Additive for Low‐Temperature Aqueous Zinc Batteries: Sustained and Efficient Dehydration and High‐Conductivity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 7, 3 February 2026.
Inspired by antifreeze proteins and ion channels in polar fish, β‐cyclodextrin–grafted hyperbranched polyglycerol (CDhPG) mimics interfacial water structuring and ion dehydration. The ice‐matching hydroxyl spacing (2.76 Å) enables IRI activity, while dendritic cavities tailor Zn2+ solvation and enhance low‐temperature conductivity for sustainable ...

Differentiating hyperpycnal, hypopycnal and turbidity current deposits in late Quaternary glaciogenic mud

open access: yesThe Depositional Record, Volume 12, Issue 1, February 2026.
X‐ray CT and microscopic analysis of glaciogenic mud provide insight into the deposits of sediment‐laden density flows and reveal that strata comprise two microtextural motifs. The deposits of bottom‐hugging hyperpycnal flows and slope‐failure‐related turbidity currents are characterised by laterally continuous, sharply bounded silt‐rich and clay‐rich ...

Graphene Nanoplatelets (GNP) as a Functional Filler for Styrene‐Butadiene Rubber (SBR)

open access: yesPolymer Composites, Volume 47, Issue 1, Page 484-498, 10 January 2026.
Spider chart showing the change in selected properties on inclusion of GNP in SBR relative to carbon black (CB) filled SBR. ABSTRACT The carbon footprint of synthetic rubber is poor, including its production and the use of carbon black as a filler, which is obtained from non‐renewable feedstocks.
