Hydrodynamic performance of a vertical slotted breakwater
The wave interaction problem with a vertical slotted breakwater, consisting of impermeable upper, lower parts and a permeable middle part, has been studied theoretically. An analytical model was presented for the estimation of reflection and transmission of monochromatic waves by a slotted breakwater.

Research on the Hydrodynamic Performance of a Pentamaran in Calm Water and Regular Waves
As a typical multi-hull ship, the pentamaran has a wider deck, higher damage stability, and low-speed seaworthiness in harsh sea conditions compared with other multi-hull types such as the catamaran and trimaran, having more potential for becoming a new ...

Hydrodynamic Performances of Aeronautical Propeller for Drones
Abstract Currently, several countries already invest on the application of drones for different scopes. These purposes are mainly civilian and military and some of these include the presence of water as search and rescue, inspection of pipelines, getting a bird’s eyes view over oil spills or structural integrity monitoring of bridges ...

Optimizing Explicit Hydrodynamics for Power, Energy, and Performance
Practical considerations for future supercomputer designs will impose limits on both instantaneous power consumption and total energy consumption. Working within these constraints while providing the maximum possible performance, application developers will need to optimize their code for speed alongside power and energy concerns.

Miniature Underwater Glider Hydrodynamic Performance
Defining the hydrodynamic properties of an underwater glider is a critical operation that should be properly optimized since it has a great impact on the vehicle’s efficiency. It also defines the allocated budget for the Variable Buoyancy System (VBS) of the glider.

Coupled Interactions Analysis of a Floating Tidal Current Power Station in Uniform Flow
For a floating tidal current power station moored in the sea, the mutual interactions between the carrier and the turbine are pretty complex. Current simulation methods based on potential flow theory could not consider the complicated viscous effects ...
