Hydrodynamic Simulation of Semiconductor Devices
Progress in Quantum Electronics, 1997Abstract In this paper, we present an introduction to hydrodynamic-based simulation of semiconductor devices. A very general approach is given to illustrate a mathematical method of the solution. A general differential equation which is characteristic of the relevant semiconductor equations is first presented and discussed.

Smoothed-particle-hydrodynamics simulation of port hydrodynamic problems
2013The thesis reports on the development of a numerical procedure based on the meshfree Smoothed-Particle-Hydrodynamics (SPH) approach for the simulation of complex port hydrodynamic problems including the interaction between ships, harbour facilities, water and soil. Corresponding constitutive models have been derived, implemented and validated.

Hydrodynamic simulations of hypervelocity impacts
International Journal of Impact Engineering, 1989Abstract When a metal projectile hits a thin metal plate at velocity high enough to penetrate it, a cloud of debris is produced, whose structure for normal impacts provides a unique test for hydrodynamic computer simulation. We report results of benchmark calculations of hypervelocity impacts of a lead sphere on a lead plate where significant ...

Computer simulation of Burnett hydrodynamics
Molecular Physics, 1982Non-equilibrium molecular dynamics is used to calculate the wavevector and strain rate dependence of shear viscosity in a soft sphere fluid. The calculations are consistent with a non-analytic functional dependence of viscosity with wavevector. A consequence of such non-analyticity would be that the linear and non-linear Burnett coefficients for ...

Hydrodynamical Simulations of Extragalactic Jets
EAS Publications Series, 2001Hydrodynamical simulations have played an important role in the understanding of extragalactic jets since the late seventies. In this talk, recent simulations of jets in the relativistic regime are reviewed. Special attention is payed to simulations of jets at parsec scale which, for the first time.

Generalized Hydrodynamics and Computer Simulations
1993In ordinary fluids, the relaxation times of the fluxes are usually very small. One could therefore ask whether the relaxational effects considered in extended irreversible thermodynamics are observable. The answer is affirmative: it is possible to obtain information on such effects either from experiments or numerical simulations.

Simulating hydrodynamics: A pedestrian model
Journal of Statistical Physics, 1985A Hele Shaw cell contains two fluids seperated by an interface. Because the fluids are held in a narrow regions between two plates the cell can be described by a set of two-dimensional hydrodynamic equations, which determine the velocity fields in the fluids as well as the motion of the interface between them.
