Analysis of Variation Characteristics and Driving Factors of Precipitation Isotopes in the Monsoon Region of Offshore China—A Case Study of Hong Kong [PDF]
To explore the isotopic composition of precipitation in the monsoon region of offshore China, this paper takes Hong Kong, China as the study area. Based on the Global Network of Isotope in Precipitation (GNIP), the data about hydrogen and oxygen stable ...

Stable Isotope Tracers of Cretaceous Arctic Paleoprecipitation
We report estimated stable isotope compositions of depositional waters and paleoprecipitation from the Cretaceous Arctic to further elucidate the role of the global hydrologic cycle in sustaining polar warmth during that period.

Hydrogen and oxygen isotope ratios in human hair are related to geography [PDF]
We develop and test a model to predict the geographic region-of-origin of humans based on the stable isotope composition of their scalp hair. This model incorporates exchangeable and nonexchangeable hydrogen and oxygen atoms in amino acids to predict the δ 2 H and δ 18

Stable isotopes of oxygen and hydrogen in precipitation and river water in Georgia
The article presents the first comprehensive evaluation of the isotopic composition of precipitation and runoff in Georgia. It is based on data from the monitoring of δ18O and δ2H in monthly precipitation at eleven precipitation stations and monthly ...

Progress on the nephrite sources of jade artifacts in ancient China from the perspective of isotopes
The use of isotopes is crucial for understanding the origin of jade/nephrite. This article first contrasts recent studies on the radioisotopes and stable isotopes of contemporary nephrite deposits in China, Baikal region, and South Korean Peninsula.

Resolving the controls of water vapour isotopes in the Atlantic sector
Water isotope modelling is an important tool in climate reconstructions, but there remain gaps in our understanding of the effects upon oxygen and hydrogen isotope fractionation, and thus the source of the deposited signal.

Abruptly changing from aerobic to anaerobic conditions (sudden anaerobization) induced growth inhibition and a significant increase in intracellular labile ferrous iron in the aerotolerant anaerobe Amphibacillus xylanus. We found that free flavins mediate efficient electron transfer from NADH to ferric iron under anaerobic conditions, suggesting that ...

In a murine model of myocardial ischemia and reperfusion (MI/R), the CD36 azapeptide ligand MPE‐298 reduces cardiac injury and transiently lowers left ventricular long‐chain fatty acids (LCFAs) accumulation 3 h after reperfusion, accompanied by a decrease of oxidative stress and inflammation‐associated genes' expression in the heart and adipose tissue.
