The influence of the electric polarization of hydrogen atoms on the red shift of its spectral lines [PDF]
The Lorentz oscillator system is studied to interpret the spectral lines of hydrogen atoms. The dielectric constant of this system is analyzed, which takes into account the electrical polarization of hydrogen atoms. This dielectric constant gives the red shift of the spectral line and the appearance of the optical spectrum dip.

Optical deceleration of atomic hydrogen [PDF]
High-precision hydrogen spectroscopy is an active field which helps to determine the Rydberg constant and proton charge radius, tests bound-state QED, and can search for Beyond Standard Model (BSM) Physics. Additionally, with recent demonstrations of anti-hydrogen trapping and spectroscopy, a new line of investigation is possible whereby hydrogen can ...

Formation of the Pd atomic chain in hydrogen atmosphere [PDF]
The formation of a Pd atomic chain in a hydrogen atmosphere was investigated by measurements of conductance and vibrational spectroscopy of a single molecular junction, and the theoretical calculation. While atomic chains were not formed for clean 3d and 4d metals, in the case of Pd (a 4d metal) atomic chains could be formed in the presence of hydrogen.

Mutual Influence of Different Hydrogen Concentration in α-Zirconium System with Vacancies [PDF]
Hydrogen embrittlement in zirconium alloys is one of current challenges of nuclear reactor containment and can lead to a rapid decrease in mechanical properties of materials. Although many previous studies investigated the mechanism of hydrogen embrittlement at high hydrogen concentration, few studies concentrate on the mechanism at low hydrogen ...

Prospects for hydrogen storage in graphene [PDF]
Hydrogen-based fuel cells are promising solutions for the efficient and clean delivery of electricity. Since hydrogen is an energy carrier, a key step for the development of a reliable hydrogen-based technology requires solving the issue of storage and transport of hydrogen.

Evidence of Catalytic Production of Hot Atomic Hydrogen in RF Generated Hydrogen/Helium Plasmas [PDF]
A study of the line shapes of hydrogen Balmer series lines in RF generated low pressure H2/He plasmas produced results suggesting a catalytic process between helium and hydrogen species results in the generation of 'hot' (ca. 28 eV) atomic hydrogen. Even far from the electrodes 'hot' atomic hydrogen was predominant in H2/He plasmas.

The Hydrogen Atom of Bohr II: Mean Lifetime of an Ensemble of Excited Hydrogen atoms [PDF]
"Does God play dice with the Universe?" The natural width of excited hydrogen atoms are found using the Bohr's model of this atom and de Broglie's ideas. The mean life time of the excited states is a characteristic only of a statistical ensemble of many atoms.

Saha Equation for the Photo-Ionization of Hydrogen Atoms in Partially Ionized Relativistic Hydrogen Plasma and the Effect of Gravity on the Binding of Hydrogen Atoms in Rindler Space [PDF]
We have studied Saha equation for photo-ionization of hydrogen atoms in partially ionized relativistic hydrogen plasma in Rindler space. Following the principle of equivalence, we have obtained the abundances of neutral hydrogen atoms, hydrogen ions and the electrons in dynamic equilibrium of the photo-ionization reaction of neutral hydrogen atoms and ...

Atoms can be divided into three categories: polar, non-polar and hydrogen atom [PDF]
Since the time of Rutherford 1911) physicists and chemists commonly believed that with no electric field, the nucleus of an atom is at the centre of the electron cloud, atoms do not have permanent electric dipole moment (EDM), so that there is no polar atom in nature. In the fact, the idea is untested hypothesis.

Interaction of a slow monopole with a hydrogen atom [PDF]
The electric dipole moment of the hydrogen-like atom induced by a monopole moving outside the electron shell is calculated. The correction to the energy of the ground state of the hydrogen atom due to this interaction is calculated.
