Hydrogen Atom Transfer Reactions via Photoredox Catalyzed Chlorine Atom Generation.

Angewandte Chemie, 2018
The selective functionalization of chemically inert C-H bonds remains to be fully realized in achieving organic transformations that are redox-neutral, waste-limiting, and atom-economical.

Tertiary-Alcohol-Directed Functionalization of Remote C(sp3 )-H Bonds by Sequential Hydrogen Atom and Heteroaryl Migrations.

Angewandte Chemie, 2018
Reported for the first time is a tertiary-alcohol-guided heteroarylation of remote C(sp3 )-H bonds. The mild and direct generation of alkoxyl radicals from alcohols is enabled by visible-light photocatalysis.

Interstitial Hydrogen Atom Modulation to Boost Hydrogen Evolution in Pd-Based Alloy Nanoparticles.

ACS Nano, 2019
Rational control of the components of noble metal alloys is paramount for achieving satisfactory electrocatalytic performances. Though transition metals are commonly used to modify noble metals, many potential elements remain to be explored.

Microtubing-Reactor-Assisted Aliphatic C-H Functionalization with HCl as a Hydrogen-Atom-Transfer Catalyst Precursor in Conjunction with an Organic Photoredox Catalyst.

Angewandte Chemie, 2018
Chlorine radical, which is classically generated by the homolysis of Cl2 under UV irradiation, can abstract a hydrogen atom from an unactivated C(sp3 )-H bond. We herein demonstrate the use of HCl as an effective hydrogen-atom-transfer catalyst precursor

The Hydrogen Atom

2013
The hydrogen atom is a concrete example of the general case of a two-body problem, in which two interacting bodies are considered without any external forces.

The hydrogen atom [PDF]

open access: possible, 2014
In elementary quantum mechanics there are two important models that are exactly solvable, which means that the solution of the eigenvalue problem (from now on short for eigenvalue—eigenfunction problem) can be found in closed form.

The Hydrogen Atom

1994
We have here a two-body problem, of an electron of charge -e and mass m, and a proton of charge +e and mass M. By using CM and relative coordinates and working in the CM frame, we can reduce the problem to the dynamics of a single particle whose mass µ = mM /(m + M) is the reduced mass and whose coordinate r is the relative coordinate of the two ...

Hydrogen Atom Transfer Reactions of Mononuclear Nonheme Metal-Oxygen Intermediates.

Accounts of Chemical Research, 2018
Molecular oxygen (O2), the greenest oxidant, is kinetically stable in the oxidation of organic substrates due to its triplet ground state. In nature, O2 is reduced by two electrons with two protons to produce hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and by four ...

The Hydrogen Atom

2016
The explanation of spectroscopic data was one of the first great victories of quantum theory. In modern science and technology, the mastery of atomic physics is responsible for decisive progress ranging from laser technology to the exploration of the cosmos.

The Hydrogen Atom

1972
Hydrogen, the simplest of all the elements, has been investigated most extensively both experimentally and theoretically. The knowledge obtained from this study has acted as a guide to the study of more complex elements. In this chapter we limit our considerations to hydrogen; in the next two chapters we discuss more complicated elements.
