Development of Pipeline Standards for the Delivery of Hydrogen and Hydrogen Blends

Volume 5: Risk and Reliability; Offshore, Upstream, and Production Pipelines; Emerging Fuels and Greenhouse Gas Emissions
Abstract This paper will discuss the near-, mid-, and long-term development of requirements for the design, material selection, construction, testing and operation of pipeline delivery systems intended for use with hydrogen gas and hydrogen gas blends.

Hydrogen Bonding Interaction in Polymer Blends

1992
Abstract Miscibility enhancement via hydrogen bonding interactions between dissimilar polymers is discussed. The minimum number of interacting groups required for miscibility and the effect of interaction on thermally induced phase separation temperature are elucidated.

Crystallization of poly(1-butene)/hydrogenated oligocyclopentadiene blends

Journal of Applied Polymer Science, 1999
The crystallization process of poly(1-butene) and its blends with hydrogenated oligocyclopentadiene was analyzed in dependence on composition. Both isothermal and nonisothermal crystallization processes were studied, and the isothermal crystallization process was investigated starting from both the glass and the melt states.

Polymers with Multiple Hydrogen-Bonded End Groups and Their Blends

Macromolecules, 2008
A new strategy for synthesizing well-defined, chain-end-functionalized polymers containing multiple hydrogen-bonding (MHB) groups capable of heterodimerization in both solution and the melt has been developed. Two complementary MHB systems were chosen for initial studies: 2-ureido-4[1H]-pyrimidinone (UPy) and 2,7-diamido-1,8-naphthyridine (Napy) and ...

A Micro Gas Turbine Fuelled by Methane-Hydrogen Blends

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2012
The combustion efficiency and the gaseous emission of a 100 kWe MGT, designed for working with natural gas but fuelled with blends containing up to 10% of hydrogen is investigated. A critical comparison between experimental data and results of the CFD analysis of the combustor is discussed. The k-epsilon RANS turbulence model and the Finite Rate – Eddy

Prediction of the Phase Behaviour of Hydrogen-Bonded Polymer Blends

Australian Journal of Chemistry, 2006
In the early 1990s your authors believed that they had essentially solved the problem of predicting the phase behaviour of hydrogen-bonded polymer blends. A text devoted to this subject, Specific Interactions and the Miscibility of Polymer Blends, was published and we thought that it was now time to look around for something else to do. This was before

Structure of isotactic polypropylene/ hydrogenated oligo(cyclopentadiene) blends: 1. Polypropylene-rich blends

Polymer, 1998
Blends of isotactic polypropylene (iPP) and hydrogenated oligo(cyclopentadiene) (HOCP) containing 30% or less HOCP have been studied by small-angle X-ray scattering in the temperature range 25 to 160°C. The structure of blends has been analysed in terms of a pseudo two-phase model consisting of stacks of lamellae whose thickness is a function of ...

Explosion Risks of Hydrogen/Methane Blends

2015
Hydrogen is the next frontier and there is a concerted push to include hydrogen as an energy carrier. The main benefit is emissions reduction—eventually by 100 %. When used as a fuel, hydrogen supplies more energy per unit mass than the popular fuels used today.
