Drift measurements for conditions of hydrogen cyanamide spraying in kiwifruit

open access: yesNew Zealand Plant Protection, 2018
Kiwifruit are sprayed in late winter with hydrogen cyanamide to enhance with bud burst. The trellis layout of kiwifruit vines in combination with the canopy dormancy at that time of year means that a higher portion of the spray is able to drift away from the canopy.

Impact of chilling accumulation and hydrogen cyanamide on floral organ development of sweet cherry in a warm region

open access: yesJournal of Integrative Agriculture, 2016
The microscopic investigation of the floral development of sweet cherry (Prunus avium L. cv. Hongdeng) from a warm winter climate (Shanghai) and cold winter climate (Tai’an, Shandong Province, China) was conducted to explore the reason of low fruit set ...

Comparative Transcriptomic and Proteomic Analysis to Deeply Investigate the Role of Hydrogen Cyanamide in Grape Bud Dormancy. [PDF]

open access: yesInt J Mol Sci, 2019
Hydrogen cyanamide (HC) is an agrochemical compound that is frequently used to break bud dormancy in grapevines grown under mild winter conditions globally. The present study was carried out to provide an in-depth understanding of the molecular mechanism

Photochemical N-dealkylation of Tertiary Amines Coupled With Photocharging of Poly(Heptazine Imides). [PDF]

open access: yesAngew Chem Int Ed Engl
Protonated poly(heptazine imide) (H‐PHI) functions as an energy reservoir, thereby facilitating the endothermic dealkylation of triethylamine through a proton‐coupled two‐electron transfer (PC2ET) process. The extent of photocharging is quantitatively described by a molecular‐level descriptor, Ne:Nhept, providing a direct correlation between stored ...

Comparative transcriptome analysis of genes involved in paradormant bud release response in ‘Summer Black’ grape

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science, 2023
Grapevines possess a hierarchy of buds, and the fruitful winter bud forms the foundation of the two-crop-a-year cultivation system, yielding biannual harvests.

Fragmentation Pathways of Diaminomaleonitrile: Automated Discovery and High-Level Energetics Under Laser-Driven Conditions. [PDF]

open access: yesChemphyschem
Laser irradiation of a 2,3‐diaminomaleonitrile (DAMN) molecule (white) induces decomposition into the highlighted products (yellow). The laptop denotes a computational simulation designed to mimic the laser ablation experiment. We investigate the fragmentation chemistry of 2,3‐diaminomaleonitrile (DAMN), a key hydrogen cyanide (HCN) tetramer in ...

Evaluating chemicals for inducing budburst in peach orchard grown in subtropical conditions

open access: yesSemina: Ciências Agrárias, 2022
Chill hour’s availability influence break dormancy, sprouting and production of temperate fruit trees in different regions. Chilling requirements for growing peaches in subtropical regions are limited during winter and some chemicals are necessary for ...

Hydrogenated cyanamide in the budding of ‘Eva’ apple tree in a mild winter region

open access: yesRevista Brasileira de Fruticultura, 2023
This study was carried aiming to evaluate different hydrogen cyanamide concentrations (0.00%; 0.26%; 0.52% 0.78% and 1.04%) associated with (3%) mineral oil on the bud growth of the ‘Eva’ apple tree in a high-altitude tropical climate region in the state

Hydrogen cyanamide breaks grapevine bud dormancy in the summer through transient activation of gene expression and accumulation of reactive oxygen and nitrogen species. [PDF]

open access: yesBMC Plant Biol, 2016
Hydrogen cyanamide (HC) and pruning (P) have frequently been used to break dormancy in grapevine floral buds. However, the exact underlying mechanism remains elusive.
