μ-Cyanido-κ2C:N-dicyanido-κ2C-bis(N-ethylethylenediamine-κ2N,N′)copper(II)copper(I)

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E, 2014
In the title complex, [CuICuII(CN)3(C4H12N2)2], the CuI and CuII ions and a bridging cyanide group lie on a twofold rotation axis. The CuII ion is in a slightly-distorted square-pyramidal coordination environment, with the N atoms of the two symmetry ...

Tissues thiocyanate (SCN) concentration and liver pathology of sheep and goats fed on cassava forages [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Cassava leaves are good sources of protein which have a potential to substitute grain concentrate in livestock feed. However, a major constraint in using cassava fodder as animal feed is the presence of hydrogen cyanide (HCN).

Detection of a branched alkyl molecule in the interstellar medium: iso-propyl cyanide

open access: yes, 2014
The largest non-cyclic molecules detected in the interstellar medium (ISM) are organic with a straight-chain carbon backbone. We report an interstellar detection of a branched alkyl molecule, iso-propyl cyanide (i-C3H7CN), with an abundance 0.4 times ...
