The Effect of Stoichiometry on Hydrogen Embrittlement of Ordered Ni3Fe Intermetallics

open access: yesAdvances in Materials Science and Engineering, 2015
The effects of Fe stoichiometry on hydrogen embrittlement and hydrogen diffusion in ordered Ni3Fe intermetallics were investigated. The experimental results show that the ordered Ni3Fe alloy with the normal stoichiometry has the lowest mechanical ...

The role of grain boundaries in hydrogen diffusion in metals at 25 C [PDF]

open access: yes
The effect of grain size on hydrogen diffusion at 25 C was examined for 4340 steel (body-centered cubic) and for Inconel 718 (face-centered cubic). It was found that the effect of grain size is important for body-centered cubic structures, but plays a ...

3D‐Printed Sulfur‐Derived Polymers With Controlled Architectures for Lithium‐Sulfur Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Rheology‐guided formulation design for direct ink writing enables the fabrication of 3D sulfur copolymer cathodes with controlled architectures for lithium‐sulfur batteries. The printed electrodes exhibit multiscale porosity and high sulfur utilization, delivering enhanced electrochemical performance compared to conventional cast electrodes.

Quantum diffusion in liquid para-hydrogen from ring-polymer molecular dynamics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
We have used the ring-polymer molecular dynamics method to calculate approximate Kubo-transformed velocity autocorrelation functions and self-diffusion coefficients for low-pressure liquid para-hydrogen at temperatures of 25 and 14 K.
