21st Century’s energy: Hydrogen energy system
Energy Conversion and Management, 2008Fossil fuels (i.e., petroleum, natural gas and coal), which meet most of the world's energy demand today, are being depleted fast. Also, their combustion products are causing the global problems, such as the greenhouse effect, ozone layer depletion, acid rains and pollution, which are posing great danger for our environment and eventually for the life ...

Hydrogen as an energy carrier: scenarios for future use of hydrogen in the Danish energy system
International Journal of Hydrogen Energy, 2004Scenarios for a transition to a hydrogen society are constructed for Denmark. The physical basis for the scenarios is the exploitation of renewable energy resources already in progress in Denmark. Hydrogen is proposed as a convenient energy carrier due to its versatility in use, transmission and as an energy storage medium.

Hydrogen: the future energy carrier
Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society A: Mathematical, Physical and Engineering Sciences, 2010Since the beginning of the twenty-first century the limitations of the fossil age with regard to the continuing growth of energy demand, the peaking mining rate of oil, the growing impact of CO 2 emissions on the environment and the dependency of the economy in the industrialized world on the

The energy of hydrogen in zirconium–rhodium
Physica Status Solidi (a), 1979Calculations previously made for α-zirconium are extended to determine how the introduction of rhodium into zirconium affects the energy of absorbed interstitial hydrogen. The predicted change in energy of 0.05 Ryd on alloying is in reasonable agreement with the estimated experimental result.

The hydrogen/hydride energy concept
International Journal of Hydrogen Energy, 1978Abstract With technology at its present stage, hydrogen is a very convenient secondary energy source (fuel, propellant) at the end of the oil era, as hydrogen (given the necessary primary energy, e.g. coal, nuclear energy for hydrogen production) is available in water in practically inexhaustible quantities and its distribution in the form of pure ...

The fusion-hydrogen energy system
Applied Energy, 1994Abstract This paper will describe the structure of the system, from energy generation and hydrogen production through distribution to the end users. It will show how stationary energy users will convert to hydrogen and will outline ancillary uses of hydrogen to aid in reducing other forms of pollution.
