Stress Tensor of the Hydrogen Molecular Ion [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
The electronic stress tensor of the hydrogen molecule ion H_2^+ is investigated for the ground state (sigma_g 1s) and the first excited state (sigma_u^* 1s) using their exact wave functions.

Hydrogen substituted graphdiyne as carbon-rich flexible electrode for lithium and sodium ion batteries

open access: yesNature Communications, 2017
Organic electrodes are potential alternatives to current inorganic electrode materials for lithium ion and sodium ion batteries powering portable and wearable electronics, in terms of their mechanical flexibility, function tunability and low cost ...

A nucleotide‐independent, pan‐RAS‐targeted DARPin elicits anti‐tumor activity in a multimodal manner

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We report a Designed Ankyrin Repeat Protein that binds and inhibits RAS proteins, which serve as central cell signaling hubs and are essential for the progression of many cancers. Its unique feature is that it does not discriminate between different RAS isoforms or mutations and is capable of binding to RAS in both its active (GTP‐bound) and inactive ...

Kinetics of pyrite oxidation by hydrogen peroxide in phosphoric acid solutions [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Serbian Chemical Society, 1999
The kinetics of pyrite oxidation by hydrogen peroxide in phosphoric acid solutions were investigated. The effects of stirring, temperature, and particle size, as well as of the hydrogen peroxide and phosphoric acid concentrations were studied ...

The evolution of hydrogen bubbles during ion irradiation and annealing in molybdenum for neutral beam injection inductively coupled plasma source

open access: yesNuclear Materials and Energy, 2022
Molybdenum (Mo) is considered as a promising plasma-facing material, which is expected to be used in the manufacture of critical components for the neutral beam injection (NBI) inductively coupled plasma (ICP) source.

Dipole-Magnetic Photo-Recombination in Ultracold Hydrogen Plasma

open access: yes, 2013
The cross section of dipole-magnetic photodisintegration of the negative hydrogen ion has been calculated within the framework of an effective-range theory.

Stellar wind bubbles around WR and [WR] stars [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
We study the dynamics of stellar wind bubbles around hydrogen-deficient stars using numerical simulations with time- and ion dependent cooling. We consider two types of hydrogen-deficient stars, massive WR stars, producing Ring Nebulae, and low mass [WR]

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

Hydrogen hollow cathode ion source [PDF]

open access: yes, 1980
A source of hydrogen ions is disclosed and includes a chamber having at one end a cathode which provides electrons and through which hydrogen gas flows into the chamber. Screen and accelerator grids are provided at the other end of the chamber.

CDK11 inhibition induces cytoplasmic p21WAF1 splice variant by p53 stabilisation and SF3B1 inactivation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CDK11 inhibition stabilises the tumour suppressor p53 and triggers the production of an alternative p21WAF1 splice variant p21L, through the inactivation of the spliceosomal protein SF3B1. Unlike the canonical p21WAF1 protein, p21L is localised in the cytoplasm and has reduced cell cycle‐blocking activity.
