A Simplistic Analytical Model for Hydrogen Surface Coverage Under the Influence of Various Surface-Related Processes and Ion Bombardment

open access: yesEast European Journal of Physics
The paper describes a simple analytical model that allows the calculation of hydrogen surface coverage under the influence of several processes that can co-occur during the ion-beam bombardment/sputter analysis of a sample surface, in particular during ...

Effect of Ion-Exchange Modification on Hydrogen and Carbon Dioxide Adsorption Behaviour of RhoZMOF Material

open access: yesAdsorption Science & Technology, 2012
Zeolite-like metal-organic frameworks (ZMOFs) can adsorb hydrogen and carbon dioxide because of their negatively charged structures, being able to be ion exchanged with metal cations to further increase the electrostatic field inside the framework ...

Use of low-energy hydrogen ion implants in high-efficiency crystalline-silicon solar cells [PDF]

open access: yes
The use of low-energy hydrogen implants in the fabrication of high-efficiency crystalline silicon solar cells was investigated. Low-energy hydrogen implants result in hydrogen-caused effects in all three regions of a solar cell: emitter, space charge ...

Bimetallic (NiFe) and Trimetallic (NiFeCr) Nanoalloys from Metal Oxides Using a Microwave Hydrogen Plasma

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Bimetallic (NiFe) and trimetallic (NiFeCr) nanoalloys (NAs) are synthesized using corresponding oxide mixtures using microwave hydrogen plasma within a few milliseconds. The process simultaneously 1) reduces metal oxides to metals; 2) downsizes the particles from micrometers to nanometers; and 3) blends the metals to form NAs.

A simple and compact method for measuring the hydrogen ion fraction of hybrid ion beams

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2016
A simple and compact method for measuring the hydrogen fraction of hybrid ion beams is introduced in this paper. The method is based on the difference of stopping powers for protons and other heavier ions.

GROWTH OF FIBROBLASTS AND HYDROGEN ION CONCENTRATION OF THE MEDIUM

open access: yesJournal of Experimental Medicine, 1921
1. The rate of growth of fibroblasts is markedly modified by slight changes in the hydrogen ion concentration of the medium. The curves expressing the rate of growth in function of the hydrogen ion concentration of the medium are nearly symmetrical on ...

Exploring Dipolar Dynamics and Ionic Transport in Metal‐Organic Frameworks: Experimental and Theoretical Insights

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, the interplay of dipolar dynamics and ionic charge transport in MOF compounds is investigated. Synthesizing the novel structure CFA‐25 with integrated freely rotating dipolar groups, local and macroscopic effects, including interactions with Cs cations are explored.

In Situ Constructed Magnetic Core‐Shell Hydrogen‐Bonded Organic Framework‐on‐Metal–Organic Framework Structure: an Efficient Catalyst for Peroxymonosulfate Activation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this work, a magnetic core‐shell catalyst (HOF‐on‐Fe3O4/ZIF‐67) is successfully synthesized, consisting of a metal–organic framework (ZIF‐67) with magnetic Fe3O4 as the core and a porous hydrogen‐bonded organic framework (HOF) as the shell. The catalyst efficiently activated peroxymonosulfate, resulting in rapid and effective removal of water ...

Ab initio molecular dynamics simulations of Aluminum solvation

open access: yes, 1999
The solvation of Al and its hydrolyzed species in water clusters has been studied by means of ab initio molecular dynamics simulations. The hexa-hydrate aluminum ion formed a stable complex in the finite temperature cluster simulation of one aluminum ion
