Rational Tuning of Zirconium Metal-Organic Framework Membranes for hydrogen purification.

Angewandte Chemie, 2019
In this work, we investigated the effect of organic ligands on the separation performance of Zr based Metal-organic framework (Zr-MOF) membranes. A series of Zr-MOF membranes with different ligand chemistry and functionality were synthesized by an in ...

Enhancement of heat- and mass-transfer processes in a metal-hydride flow-through hydrogen-purification reactor

, 2020
A novel method is proposed to increase the effective thermal conductivity of a metal-hydride (MH) bed by incorporating highly conductive inclusions into it in the form of metal rods made from various materials.

Comparison between MOF UTSA-16 and BPL activated carbon in hydrogen purification by PSA

Chemical Engineering Journal, 2019
The aim of this work is to study the application of Metal-Organic Framework (MOF) UTSA-16 in hydrogen purification PSA processes since UTSA-16 can adsorb/desorb CO, CH4 and specially CO2 (typical impurities of a SMR off-gas).

Optimization of a hydrogen purification system

International Journal of Hydrogen Energy, 2008
Abstract A typical process of pressure swing adsorption (PSA) for H 2 purification consists of a sequence of stages involving high pressure adsorption and low pressure desorption at a determined temperature. If it is desired to optimize a process already installed, the pressure cannot be easily modified.

Enhanced hydrogen purification by graphene - Poly(Dimethyl siloxane) membrane

, 2020
In this study, a nanocomposite graphene oxide (GO) incorporated poly (dimethyl siloxane) (PDMS) membrane was produced and used for the purification of hydrogen (H2) by separating the (CO2).

Hydrogen purification using fluorinated LaNi4.7Al0.3 alloy

Journal of Alloys and Compounds, 1995
Abstract Hydriding characteristics of fluorinated LaNi4.7Al0.3 in hydrogen containing CH4, CO2 and CO were investigated by cyclic absorption-desorption tests and the purification efficiency at temperatures ⩽353.2 K were examined. Fluorinated alloys showed excellent tolerance to impurities, especially to the extremely poisonous CO.

Nanolayers on nanochannels for hydrogen purification

Journal of Applied Physics, 2009
The purification of hydrogen rich gases is of great technological importance in the “hydrogen economy” and is achieved by selective membranes made of organic or inorganic materials. In this field, a strong challenge is the synthesis of defect-free ultrathin Pd-based selective membranes.

Nuclear track filters for hydrogen purification

International Journal of Hydrogen Energy, 2008
Abstract The pure polycarbonate (PC) and blends of PC and polysulphone (PSF) of various thicknesses in different concentrations are prepared using the solution cast method. These membranes are irradiated by Swift heavy ions of energy 100 MeV with an ion fluence of 10 6 – 10 8 ions / cm 2 .
