Thin film permeation membranes for hydrogen purification
International Journal of Hydrogen Energy, 1990Abstract Hydrogen has the well known property to diffuse through some metals such as nickel or alloys like palladium-silver. This property is used to separate hydrogen from gas mixtures to obtain very pure hydrogen. Thin film nickel and palladium membranes supported by a microporous substrate have been carried out.

Microporous and Mesoporous Materials, 2019
In PSA processes for hydrogen purification, adsorbents play an extremely important role. In this work, the impact of using different zeolites 13X, obtained through ion exchange, on the performance of a PSA process has been studied.

Rational Tuning of Zirconium Metal-Organic Framework Membranes for hydrogen purification.
Angewandte Chemie, 2019In this work, we investigated the effect of organic ligands on the separation performance of Zr based Metal-organic framework (Zr-MOF) membranes. A series of Zr-MOF membranes with different ligand chemistry and functionality were synthesized by an in ...

Comparison between MOF UTSA-16 and BPL activated carbon in hydrogen purification by PSA
Chemical Engineering Journal, 2019The aim of this work is to study the application of Metal-Organic Framework (MOF) UTSA-16 in hydrogen purification PSA processes since UTSA-16 can adsorb/desorb CO, CH4 and specially CO2 (typical impurities of a SMR off-gas).

Carbon nanotubes for hydrogen purification and storage
2020Hydrogen storage and purification processes represent two key steps in hydrogen fuel production and supply chain, and for this reason they have a critical role in the development of the hydrogen economy. On one hand, the use of carbon membranes can help to overcome some disadvantages of the already commercial techniques adopted for hydrogen separation ...
