Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

Machine learning–based optimization for hydrogen purification performance of layered bed pressure swing adsorption

open access: yesInternational Journal of Energy Research, 2020
An adsorption, heat and mass transfer model for the five‐component gas from coal gas (H2/CO2/CH4/CO/N2 = 38/50/1/1/10 vol%) in a layered bed packed with activated carbon and zeolite was established by Aspen Adsorption software.

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Targeting Model of Inter-Plant Hydrogen Network with Purification Reuse/Recycle

open access: yesChemical Engineering Transactions, 2018
Hydrogen resource can be saved by reuse and purification reuse between refineries. Thus, it’s necessary to optimize the inter-plant hydrogen network in a petrochemical complex.

Loss of proton‐sensing TDAG8 increases tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the pH‐sensing receptor TDAG8 accelerates colorectal cancer progression in mice. Animals lacking TDAG8 expression had increased tumor growth, DNA damage, and recruitment of tumor‐associated immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and monocytes.

Enhanced ammonia decomposition using a Pd-Ag membrane reactor for high-purity hydrogen production

open access: yesFuel Processing Technology
In this study, a Pd-Ag membrane reactor (MR) integrated with a lab-synthesized ruthenium catalyst supported on La2Ce2O7 was used for the efficient production and recovery of highly-pure hydrogen from ammonia decomposition.

Specifics of high-temperature sodium coolant purification technology in fast reactors for hydrogen production and other innovative applications

open access: yesNuclear Energy and Technology, 2017
In creating a large-scale atomic-hydrogen power industry, the resolution of technological issues associated with high temperatures in reactor plants (900°C) and large hydrogen concentrations intended as long-term resources takes on particular importance.

ZW4864‐mediated inhibition of the β‐catenin/BCL9/BCL9L complex reveals therapeutic potential in bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
BCL9 and BCL9L drive bladder cancer progression by enhancing β‐catenin signaling, promoting proliferation, migration, invasion, and organoid growth. Genetic depletion of BCL9(L) suppresses malignant phenotypes, while pharmacological disruption of the β‐catenin/BCL9(L) complex with ZW4864 inhibits canonical Wnt signaling and tumor‐associated cellular ...
