Hydrometallurgy of the delta sulfide ores, second stage report [PDF]

open access: yes, 1987
This report contains results of the Fluidized-Bed Leaching (FBL) initially adapted to improve Leaching-Flotation processing of Delta ores in sulfate solution. The research carried out in the continuous laboratory installation show, however, that the new,

Enhancing the Resilience of Platinum Group Metal Supply Chains: Mine to (Re)use

open access: yesSustainable Development, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Platinum group metals (PGMs) are critical elements that play a vital role in sustainable energy transition technologies such as catalysts, hydrogen production and use, and electronics. Securing a resilient PGM supply chain would support the current industrial, societal, and economic infrastructure.

Leaching of a Cu-Co ore from Congo using sulphuric acidhydrogen peroxide leachants [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
A Cu-Co ore from Katinga Province, the Republic of Congo containing 1.5% Co and 1.6% Cu was tested to determine the leachability of Cu and Co using sulphuric acid and hydrogen peroxide mixtures at different conditions.

Direct Integration of Spent LiMn2O4 with High Voltage Aqueous Zinc‐Manganese Redox Flow Batteries as a Practical Upcycling Process

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
To address the high energy consumption and complex processes of conventional battery recycling, a novel upcycling strategy is proposed, where spent cathode materials undergo filtration and electrochemical reduction reactions using carbon felt (CF) electrodes in redox flow batteries (RFBs).

Coagulant recovery from water treatment residuals: a review of applicable technologies [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Conventional water treatment consumes large quantities of coagulant and produces even greater volumes of sludge. Coagulant recovery (CR) presents an opportunity to reduce both the sludge quantities and the costs they incur, by regenerating and purifying ...

Impact of Ferric and Ferrous Iron on the Crystallization of Rare Earth Sulphate Hydrates

open access: yesChemSusChem, Volume 18, Issue 16, August 6, 2025.
The study investigates recovery of rare earth elements from magnet waste by antisolvent crystallization by addition of ethanol. The impact of ferric and ferrous iron on crystal purity and morphology are examined. Fe(III) hinders crystal growth and incorporates into Nd2(SO4)3·8H2O but not the mixed Nd/Dy phase.

Determination of optimal conditions for pressure oxidative leaching of Sarcheshmeh Molybdenite concentrate using Taguchi method [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
The present research work is based on finding the optimum conditions for pressure oxidative leaching of the molybdenite concentrate to produce technical-grade molybdic oxide (MoO3) with high recovery through further treatment of the filtrate solution.

Revitamize LFP! Ascorbic Acid‐Assisted Direct Regeneration of Spent LiFePO4 for Li‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesBatteries &Supercaps, Volume 8, Issue 8, August 2025.
This study presents a one‐step, environmentally friendly lithiation process for regenerating spent LFP cathodes under ambient conditions using low‐cost reagents, including ascorbic acid. A simplified scheme of the green lithiation process in aqueous solution is illustrated, showing the recycling loop from cathode recovery to regeneration and the ...
