(A) Hydrometallurgy

International Materials Reviews, 1971
The development, introduction, and gradual acceptance by the extractive metallurgy industry of modern hydrometallurgical techniques have very greatly increased the number of routes available for the recovery of base metals from their ores. Indeed, the chelating extractants which will selectively remove metals from leach liquors or mine waters at the ...

Hydrometallurgy and Electrometallurgy

2016
In Chapter 8 we examined some traditional techniques for the production of “tonnage” metals such as steel, aluminum, and copper. These techniques involved high temperature, molten metals, and slags and difficulties posed by the emission into the environment of particles, sulfur dioxide, and so on.

The hydrometallurgy of silver

2018
At Argo, Colorado and enriched roasted matte was first leached with water extracting as much silver as possible. The residue was then smelted and the matte thus obtained given an oxidizing roast forming copper bottoms later treated for gold and argentiferous copper matte which was treated by the Ziervogel Process.
